Wine produced with moscato bianco grapes is an intense straw yellow colour, brilliant and limpid. It is an aromatic wine flowery with tropical fruit aromas, while on the palate it offers the natural sweetness of the grape, balanced by a good fresh acidity and fullness. Characterised by a creamy texture due to the presence of a very light and persistent perlage this is a wine to enjoy. (6 x 75 cl)

Wirra Wirra MRS WIGLEY Rose McLaren Vale South Australia
Description: Mrs Wigley was not the wife of Wirra Wirra founder, Bob Wigley, but a particular pussycat who was born at the neighbouring Petrucci residence. Within days her mum had dragged the litter to settle in our open fermenters, and from them on Mrs Wigley became a permanant feature of the cellars. Produced by running off the juice from the naturally highly coloured varieites Malbec, Grenache and Petit Verdot, Mrs Wigley was then fermented separately in stainless steel tanks to maintain the freshness and lifted fruit from these varieites. Lifted onfectionary and summer berry fruits. Malbec provides a generous aromatic lift of strawberries and cream whilst the Grenache gives dominant notes of raspberries and the Petit Verdot donates a vibrant freshness. Flavours of crushed strawberries and Cherry Ripe with a zesty mouth filling texture and a persistant finish helped by vibrant acid, providing a clean natural balance to the wine. The wine is designed to be drunk whilst young and fresh and this is aided by the Stelvin cap closure, which will maintain its youth and vibrancy. Serve slightly chilled with antipasto, light pasta or cheese or enjoy on its own (6 x 75 cl)

The crisp citrus flavours of Semillon are teamed with the peachy notes of Chardonnay in this Semillon Chardonnay for a beautifully balanced crisp, yet rounded wine. This Italian family have six generations of winemaking experience, while the Casella family winery was founded in 1965. Today it is run by John Casella, an extremely talented and highly respected winemaker who aims to produce top qualitv wines from this region. John Casella was amongst the first to select premium vineyard sites used for the production of premium varieties and the vineyards now extend to 250 hectares. The vineyard is planted with Semilion, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Botrytis Semilion, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Gewurztraminer, Colombard, Marsanne, Verdelho and Durif. Casella have made tremendous advances in viticultural techniques, particularly with canopy training, minimal pruning and controlled drip irrigation.
