Bay of Fires TIGRESS Sauvignon Blanc Tasmania
Description: Bay of Fires was born of a desire by BRL Hardy to make cool climate wines of classical structure, combining fruit intensity with refinement, complexity and persistence of flavour. Tasmania's latitude and island status was identified and with its unique climates more closely resembling the classic winegrowing regions of France this has been achieved. Tigress is the second tier of wines produced by Bay of Fires Winery. 100% Tasmanian, the wines in the range are fresh, crisp, early drinking wines that aim to capture a sense of place; the true essence of Tasmania. As with the Bay of Fires range, fruit for Tigress is sourced across Tasmania, taking advantage of diverse viticultural conditions and enabling the selection of only the most premium parcels from each region. The majority of the fruit for this wine was sourced from the Bay of Fires Winery property. The very cool climate of this site enables aromatic styles like Sauvignon Blanc to retain maximum flavour. The result is a wine of great intensity and persistence of flavour. Pale straw coloured wine with brilliant clarity, it has a concentrated aroma of herbal gooseberry, tobacco and lychee. Well structured, refreshing palate with juicy lemon acidity and herbal gooseberry fruit flavours, showing exceptional persistence. This Sauvignon Blanc has good length with a spicy, clean finish. (6 x 75 cl)
