Domaine de la Vougeraie 1er Cru CLOS BLANC DE VOUGEOT Vougeot
Description: 100 % Pinot Noir this wine is a really attractive deep ruby colour with purple tints. The nose is intense, of great finesse, fruity , evolving towards more floral and spicy notes. In the mouth the material is complex, its high quality expressing its terroir with total harmony. One should savour the richness of its taste and its vigour which goes on for several minutes. Chateau D'Issan 3eme Cru Classe Margaux
Description: This 52 hectares Chateau has a moat around it a legacy of its place in history. Today, however, it not only grows grapes for the production of its own Chateau wine but also that of Blason d'Issan, Chateau de Candale and Moulin d'Issan. The gravelly soil vineyards are planted with 35 year old Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines. The wine is produce and aged 50% in new barrels between 16 and 18 months, and is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. The 2002 vintage is a classic Margaux, with a deep ruby almost purple colour and floral aromas as well as red and black currant hints. A ripe fruit flavoured wine, almost sweet in the mouth with a complex tannin structure and very good length. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: Etienne de Montille has been in charge of wine making at his family domaine for some 20 years now but it is only in recent years that he gave up his other job of banking in Paris. Consequently he is now able to devote much more of his time throughout the year to the domaine. With his position at Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet also keeping him busy Etienne doesn't get much free time. However, the effect on quality seems to be a very postive one.
