Giacomo Borgogno Barolo Riserva DOCG
Description: Bartolomeo Borgogno founded his winery in 1761; upon his death in 1794 his three sons took over control of the business, though only one, the youngest, Giacomo, persevered. This red comes from Nebbiolo grown in a limited area including eleven country villages around Barolo. With age this wine turns a garnet red with more and more evident orange reflections. The perfume and bouquet is ethereal, persisting, of an intense 'goudron' while the flavour is dry, harmonic, velvety showing a robust and generous body. (6 x 75 cl)

Chateau de la Maltroye 1er Cru CLOS DU CHATEAU Blanc Chassagne-Montrachet
Description: Jean-Pierre Cournut is now recognised as running one of the finest domaines in the Cote de Beaune. Having been at the helm for over ten years, he has overseen a remarkable progression in quality year on year. Extensive work in the vineyards to improve the quality of fruit that he harvests enables him to make the most of his beautifully renovated cuverie and cellar, where he weaves his magic. Jean-Pierre has an extensive array of vineyards, which each reflect their unique terroir and microclimate. In style the wines blend a richness and concentration of fruit with an impressive minerality. Plenty of weight and intensity but excellent typicity. (12 x 75 cl)

Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru LES PORUZOTS Meursault
Description: Since Etienne de Montille took over Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet as director in 2001 this sleeping giant has been re-awoken. Previously this fine estate over-cropped and over-oaked to produce 'in your face' wines with little or no terroir definition. Etienne has changed all that. He has carried out extensive work in the vineyards (12 x 75 cl)
