Vega Sicilia UNICO Reserva Especial Ribera del Duero Spain
Description: This wine has no vintage, as it blends harvests, and is representative of the more stable concept of Vega Sicilia. With this wine, the winery seeks to continue a very old Spanish custom and bring together the balance of different vintages. Traditionally in Spain, the few wineries that bottled their wines made two types of wine with each harvest: that of the current year, and another wine without a specific harvest, which was called -Reserva Especial-. It was a blend of wines from the best harvests, which came to be the most representative wine of the winery. The Reserva Especial has a dark cherry tone that is opaque and full of colour. It is elegant on the nose, with a fine spicy bouquet. Time and the bottle have given it its roundness, smoothness and strength, leaving its conclusive mark on the palate. Only the best Único wines are used to produce Reserva Especial, a combination of vintages, virtues, experiences and feelings. Strictly Limited Availability. (3 x 75 cl)

Borgogno LISTE Barolo DOCG
Description: Bartolomeo Borgogno founded his winery in 1761; upon his death in 1794 his three sons took over control of the business, though only one, the youngest, Giacomo, persevered. This Barolo is made from the Nebbiolo grape while the vineyard is located in the "Liste" area, and was probably the first owned by Borgogno. The grapes are the last to be harvested, thanks to a constant exposure to the sun and to the exceptional climate. Additionally, the label is very old and it goes back to the second half of the past Century and the bottle is carries the heraldic symbol of the farm. This deep red coloured wine is balanced with the potential for long ageing (12 x 75 cl)

Louis Latour Corton Grand Cru Clos de la Vigne au Saint
Description: This vineyard is found on the east-facing slopes of the hill of Corton, with perfect exposure to the sun and well-drained soils. It is from this russet-coloured, marl-based soil that the wine gains its distinctive flavour. Traditional open-vat fermentation at the Cuverie of Corton Grancey followed by 18 months in oak barrels has produced a concentrated wine, rich with a generous bouquet. It has a taste of ripe blackcurrants, and a finish which is both complex and lingering. This wine has all the power and finesse one would expect from one of the great Grand Cru of the Cote d Or.
