Foradori Vigneti delle Dolomiti Rosso Granato IGT
Description: There are two distinct levels of quality that Elisabetta Foradori has aimed at producing from Teroldego: the first is the 'Foradori', marked by the purity, dignity and intensity of the fruit. Soft yet penetrating its sweetness is backed by a supporting acidity that weaves elegantly amongst the fruit. The second, called 'Granato' is a wine of greater strength, harmony, depth and nobility. Deep, almost shy on the first nose, it reveals itself as the aromas come into focus: wild berries and candied fruit make way for roasted hazelnuts, baked bread, leather, eucalyptus and pomegranate, then the full robust palate shows plenty of temptingly chewy flesh. The following are the inspiring principles of Elisabetta Foradori's work in her vineyards, the climate and soil are elements that cannot be modified, while the work of man can lead to deep changes in the grapevine. Clonal selection in the 1970s led to the homogenisation of the Teroldego grape variety and hence to its genetic impoverishment: very few clones aimed exclusively at increasing the yield were developed. The limited area cultivated with Teroldego grapes was soon covered completely with the clonal material. The result is that today almost all of the vineyards are cultivated with only this variety of Teroldego. In 1985 Elisabetta Foradori started her work to recover the variety's diversity. After identifying the estate's oldest vineyard, she started with the careful selection and multiplication of the plant specimens that had the required quality features. Their monitoring over the years led to a further selection and it was followed by others reaching up to this day. Foradori has selected 15 Teroldego biotypes that she uses for replanting. They are the qualitative backbone of her wines. Ensuring a vineyard's utmost diversity is the best possible guarantee of obtaining great qualitative results. This is the idea behind all of the work that follows in the vineyard, aimed at reaching the variety's perfect balance thus allowing it to express itself in full and exalt its whole potential and uniqueness. Available in 1.5 Litre Magnum bottles. (6 x 1.5 Litres)

Borgogno LISTE Barolo DOCG
Description: Bartolomeo Borgogno founded his winery in 1761; upon his death in 1794 his three sons took over control of the business, though only one, the youngest, Giacomo, persevered. This Barolo is made from the Nebbiolo grape while the vineyard is located in the "Liste" area, and was probably the first owned by Borgogno. The grapes are the last to be harvested, thanks to a constant exposure to the sun and to the exceptional climate. Additionally, the label is very old and it goes back to the second half of the past Century and the bottle is carries the heraldic symbol of the farm. This deep red coloured wine is balanced with the potential for long ageing

Pelissero VANOTU Barbaresco DOCG
Description: Azienda Agricola Pelissero is a family-run vine-growing estate located in the district of Treiso, in the heart of Barbaresco. Many gradual changes have been performed by the successive generations of the Pelisseros, who transformed the grape-selling activity started by Giovanni Pelissero into winemaking of all the estate-grown grapes. Winemaking takes place in a cellar surrounded by vineyards situated in a zone called Augenta. The first bottles of wine dated back to 1960 and were produced by Luigi Pelissero, whose work was followed by his son, Oenologist Giorgio who, after finishing his studies, decided to work full time at the winery. The Pelissero family takes care of all the activities from pruning the vines to marketing the wine. The estate consists of twenty hectares of vineyards which yield a total of 80,000 to 100,000 bottles of wine. Stylish wine with great finesse, with classic violet and rose perfumes. Available in Magnum bottle. (12 x 75 cl)
