Adriano Ramos Pinto 30 YEAR OLD Tawny Port
Description: The Ramos-Pinto 30-Year old Tawny is amber colored with orange and garnet tones. The delicate green highlights of the meniscus are characteristic of old cask-aged wines, and illustrate the quality and advanced age of this fine port. This complex, perfectly balanced port shows rich aromas of dried fruit and vanilla. Agitate the glass and spice aromas of cinnamon and cocoa are liberated. In the mouth, the attack is fresh, fine and delicate. Ripe, dried fruit softly merges with almond and hazelnut, culminating in vanilla flavors which linger gracefully on the palate. Made from Ramos-Pinto's estate vineyards in the best production zones of the Delimited Douro Region, the 30-Year Tawny is a blend of wines that have been aging in oak for an average of three decades in the winery's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Pelissero LONG NOW Langhe DOC
Description: Azienda Agricola Pelissero is a family-run vine-growing estate located in the district of Treiso, in the heart of Barbaresco. Many gradual changes have been performed by the successive generations of the Pelisseros, who transformed the grape-selling activity started by Giovanni Pelissero into winemaking of all the estate-grown grapes. Winemaking takes place in a cellar surrounded by vineyards situated in a zone called Augenta. The first bottles of wine dated back to 1960 and were produced by Luigi Pelissero, whose work was followed by his son, Oenologist Giorgio who, after finishing his studies, decided to work full time at the winery. The Pelissero family takes care of all the activities from pruning the vines to marketing the wine. The estate consists of twenty hectares of vineyards which yield a total of 80,000 to 100,000 bottles of wine. The colour of this wine is a violet-blueish red, almost black but with brilliant reflections. This concentration is also evident on the nose, with a marked varietal scent and aroma of ripe fruit including blackberry, raspberry and red cherry with an underlying fragrance of vanilla. The flavours explode in the mouth, where it is open, full-bodied, and velvety with an intense, long, complex finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: The village of Chassagne-Montrachet is the last and most southerly of the three great white winemaking appellations in the Cote de Beaune. The wines are fat and opulent, dominated by tropical fruit aromas and flavours. Twelve months of ageing in oak barrels adds to the wine's rich texture. Soil: Chalk and clay. Vinification: 100% malolactic fermentation followed by 12 months ageing in oak casks. Vivid lemon-yellow in the glass, this Chassagne-Montrachet exhales powerful aromas of ripe fruit and scents of honey. Medium acidity blends delectably with flavours of spices and vanilla essence.
