| Description: |

Lying on the southern slopes of the Pomerol plateau the Chateau Ferran vineyard is one of the oldest in the region. With an iron rich subsoil, , containing a large amount of iron-pan which gives it that highly characteristic taste of a Pomerol wine. Before the war, this estate in a single piece was enlarged and reconstituted with a judicious grape mix consisting of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Intelligently vinified, the wine of Ferrand- which is sometiems partly sold with the label Chateau Vieux Ferrand- is soft and very delicate, similar to certain Medoc wines. Its fine demeanor and its great finesse makes it very justifiably appreciated. The gravel part near the church in Pomerol and its old vines, planted mainly to Merlot are vinified separately and produce a better class wine sold with the brand name chateau Haut Ferrand. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Patrick & Christophe Bonnefond Cote-Rotie
Description: This is a very highly regarded and well-established estate, the brothers, Patrick and Christophe, Bonnefond took over from their father in the early nineties. With seven hectares of vines at his disposal, Patrick crafts very intense Syrahs into three different cuvees. Patrick is not afraid of new oak but the wines are concentrated enough to flourish with strong oak ageing, rather than be hindered by it. (12 x 75 cl)

Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru LES DURESSES Monthelie
Description: Since Etienne de Montille took over Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet as director in 2001 this sleeping giant has been re-awoken. Previously this fine estate over-cropped and over-oaked to produce 'in your face' wines with little or no terroir definition. Etienne has changed all that. He has carried out extensive work in the vineyards (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Jean-Michel Stephan Vieilles Vignes Cote-Rotie
Description: Jean-Michel is a rising star in Cote-Rotie. He is slowly but surely building his array of vineyard sites by keeping his ear to the ground and renting quality sites when they become available. His family do own some useful sites, but his grandfather and father turned them over to apricot production after the war, when apricots fetched a better price than Cote-Rotie! These are very finely crafted, very natural wines. He uses around 5% viognier in the blend. (6 x 75 cl)

Domaine Jean-Marc Bouley 1er Cru REVERSEES Beaune
Description: Bouley's Beaune 1er Cru les Reversees come from a vineyard next to Les Teurons, in the heart of the band of Beaune Premiere Crus. It is a generously juicy and grapey wine, with plum and red currant flavours. Jean-Marc Bouley's domaine, which has been in his family for three generations, now consists of 12 hectares in Volnay, Pommard and Beaune. The winery is located underneath his house on a steep narrow street in the village of Volnay. The house was originally built by a retired railroad engineer, and the cellars resemble train tunnels. Jean-Marc took over the domaine in 1985 and significantly expanded the holdings, buying choice parcels in Volnay and Pommard. He immediately attained international acclaim for his exciting, dramatic Pinot Noirs. Today, he makes wines from 11 different appellations. Bouley aims for maximum extraction of colour, flavour and aromas to yield wines that are lushly fruity, yet balanced and complex. (12 x 75 cl)
