Description: This 90 hectare estate in the heart of Southern Rhone was founded by André Brusset in 1947. The domaine, based in the ancient village of Cairanne, is now run by his son Daniel, and grandson Laurent, who was a winemaker. Yields are well below that required by law, and the fruit is of the highest quality. The grapes for this wine are 100% hand picked and vigorously selected for ripeness before the picking begins. The grapes are crushed and destalked with no yeast added . The fermentations lasts for 15 days and the cap is punched down twice daily to aid the extraction of colour and tannin. The wine is then aged 60% in vats and 40% in 2 (12 x 75 cl)

Description: In 1956, Michele Chiarlo began his career as a producer with a small cellar in Calamandrana, starting off with 5 hectares of his father's company's vineyards, planted with Barbera and Muscat grapes. Today, the 50 hectare estate is spread throughout some of the regions best wine producing areas of Barolo, Gavi and Asti. This wine comes from a 6 hectare vineyard in Cerequio is to be found on a splendid, south-facing amphitheatre hill between the communes of La Morra and Barolo. The exceptional composition of the soil together with a particularly mild climate make Cerequio one of most prestigious crus throughout the entire Barolo production area. The vineyard is skilfully managed and prepared with much care taken between the vineyard and the winery. Here the wines spend 2 years in oak barrels. This wine is from a single vineyard located on the most prestigious hillside between the villages of La Morra and Barolo, it is a rich and aristocratic wine with amazing complexity and a long finish.
