Isole E Olena Chianti Classico Toscana
Description: The Chianti Classico from Isole e Olena is a light but brilliant ruby colour with an alluring, Pinot-like nose and soft, accessible fruit on the palate. The name Isole e Olena was conceived in the 1950’s when two adjoining estates, Isole and Olena were purchased by the De Marchi family and were combined to form one. The history of both estates dates back many hundreds of years, and the earliest documentation of the village of Olena as far back as the 12th Century. Isole e Olena, run by winemaker and owner Paolo De Marchi since 1976, is now firmly established as one of the forerunners in the Chianti region, and few producers can match the estate for quality and value. Paolo has led the way in viticultural innovation in Tuscany for the last 15 years, planting a wide range of different clones in his 45 hectares of vineyard, experimenting extensively with the Sangiovese grape, and employing modern vinification and ageing techniques where appropriate to produce wines of superior quality. Chateau du Seuil Graves
Description: Welsh owner Bob Watts, has enthusiastically adopted new world techniques, making approachable, fruit driven wine. The wines from this appellation take their name from the river gravel that covers the entire plateau. This gravel is combined with sand, clay and limestone which all contribute to the uniqueness of the Graves and the characteristic minerality which is expressed in the wines. The Château du Seuil Graves red wine is made from a blend of 50%Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The different varities are fermented individually in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, then pressed and passed into barrels to undertake malolactic fermentation. The resulting wines are fruity, well balanced with integrated oak flavours and firm round tannins. Additionally, in recent years the wine has developed the peppery characteristics of a classic Graves red. The finished wine is aged in oak for up to 18 month prior to bottling. It is pleasing on the palate, fresh with a complex aftertaste. Delicious to drink now but can be stored for up to 10 years. (12 x 75 cl)

Two Hands GNARLY DUDES Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia
Description: The 'two hands' are Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz who formed the company in 1999 with the clear objective of making the best possible Shiraz based wines from prized Shiraz producing regions within Australia. Michael Twelftree, initially from a construction background, spent a number of years exporting Australian Wine to the USA and Asia. Richard Mintz a chartered accountant, was formerly C.E.O. of one of Australia's leading Cooperage's in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. With Twelftree's contacts and wine savvy approach and Mintz's management skills and business acumen, the two old friends decided to make some wine together. In 2000 they started with just 17 tonnes of fruit from the McLaren Vale and Padthaway wine regions. From the beginning the wines were very well received at home and abroad with a healthy stream of reviews culminating in 2004 with Robert M. Parker pronouncing Two Hands as 'the finest negociant operation south of the equator'. 100% Shiraz sourced from the Barossa Valley has produced a bright lively purple plum coloured wine. The nose has vibrant lifted aromas of violet and red fruits with a hint of supportive oak, while the palate is full bodied and delivers a rush of gorgeous succulent fruit with soft round tannins. This red wine is a meld of red fruits with a hint of black pepper and liquorice, leaving you with a finish that's beautifully balanced and vibrant. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Andre Perret Saint Joseph Blanc

He succeeded his father in 1982 with an estate of just half a hectare and today has 8 hectares spread through the Condrieu and St Joseph appellations. Jackson Wine Estates CAMBRIA KATHERINES VINEYARD Chardonnay Santa Maria Valley California
Description: Cambria's proximity to the ocean and east-west orientation gives this 1,405-acre property the diversity it needs to grow Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah under perfectly suited conditions. As an estate property, Cambria's Vineyard Manager and Winemaker work in tandem to perfect the winegrowing process. Together, they select only the finest grapes from the estate to bear the Cambria name. Every grape is hand-harvested and crafted into wine with the utmost care and respect for the varietal. This 100% Estate grown Chardonnay has spent 8 months ageing in French oak and Winemaker Fred Holloway considered: 'A tribute to Cambria’s consistent style and character, Katherine’s Chardonnay is a lush, well-rounded wine revealing vibrant tropical flavours folded over hints of vanilla and pear. The finish is enduring, made memorable by notes of vanilla and oak spice.' In 1986 Barbara Banke and her husband, Jess Jackson, bought the premium acres of the Tepusquet Vineyard with the intent of establishing a family-owned estate property that farmed and crafted exceptional wines. Since then, her vision has become reality. Cambria has carved out a reputation for lush, tropical Chardonnay, velvety-textured Pinot Noir and rich, spicy Syrah, all grown on one contiguous property. In recent years Cambria has concentrated its vineyard and winemaking resources into amplifying different aspects of the Cambria estate. This effort launched an in-depth exploration of the vineyard and varieties on this cool-climate property. The result has elevated the quality of Cambria's core wines, created new site-focused and distinct winemaking styles, and dramatically highlighted the bold flavours of each variety. (12 x 75 cl)
