Pelissero VANOTU Barbaresco DOCG
Description: Azienda Agricola Pelissero is a family-run vine-growing estate located in the district of Treiso, in the heart of Barbaresco. Many gradual changes have been performed by the successive generations of the Pelisseros, who transformed the grape-selling activity started by Giovanni Pelissero into winemaking of all the estate-grown grapes. Winemaking takes place in a cellar surrounded by vineyards situated in a zone called Augenta. The first bottles of wine dated back to 1960 and were produced by Luigi Pelissero, whose work was followed by his son, Oenologist Giorgio who, after finishing his studies, decided to work full time at the winery. The Pelissero family takes care of all the activities from pruning the vines to marketing the wine. The estate consists of twenty hectares of vineyards which yield a total of 80,000 to 100,000 bottles of wine. Thanks to Giorgio Pelissero's brilliance in the cellar and father Luigi’s dedication in the vineyard, this wine has splendid concentration and purity of flavour. The full garnet red colour is closed but powerful with a ripe spicy nose, very supple palate with big round tannins leading to a long finish with vanilla oak tones. Available in a Jeroboam Bottle. (1 x 3 Litres)

Donaldson Family PEGASUS BAY Sauvignon Semillon Waipara NZ
Description: The sauvignon blanc was picked in April and the semillon in May and June, ensuring fully ripened, varietally intense fruit. Both were fermented by their natural, indigenous yeasts, the sauvignon blanc being in stainless steel to retain its zesty, bright fruit characters and the semillon in old, oak barriques to give richness, flavour and length. The wine has a complex array of aromas and flavours suggestive of passion-fruit, guavas, paw-paw, gooseberry, dried herbs and turkish musk. The palate is concentrated and rich, while the finish is lingering, spicy and dry. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Henri Bourgeois CUVEE D'ANTAN Sancerre Blanc
Description: Cuvée d'Antan is made in 'the old style' from vines on south-facing slopes. Viticulture is biodynamic, grapes are harvested by hand and after pressing and maceration the wine is left in old wooden barrels for eighteen months batonnage. Racking is done after the full moon. The style is sui generis: the wine fills the mouth with layer after layer of creamy fruit, a touch of breadiness from the lees and the terroir notes of truffle and warm stone. (6 x 75 cl)

Chateau La Cardonne Cru Bourgeois Medoc
Description: Les Domaines CGR is a venture between Chateau de la Cardonne, Chateau Griviere and Chateau Ramafort who provide the initials for this company. Purchased by Les Domaines CGR in 1990 the Chateau is built on the highest plateau in the Medoc region. The vineyards are on sandy gravely soil, planted with vines as early as the 17th century and slopes gently down to the River. The vineyard extends to the communes from Blaignan, Odonnac and Prignac and this wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Great care is taken in the vineyard and this is continued in the winery where fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks before ageing 12 months in oak casks at the underground cellars. This wine has an engaging crimson colour with pretty reflections of ruby. The bouquet offers a ripe fruit pallet as well as a little spice and finely wooded characteristics. The attack in mouth is full, almost sweetened, with raspberry and blackberry flavours which mix with vanilla. Finally, the tanins with the silky grains support the elegant finish. (12 x 75 cl)
