Description: The Rivetti family story begins in the 1890s, when Giovanni Rivetti, grandfather of the three Rivetti brothers, Carlo, Bruno and Giorgio, left Piedmont for Argentina. Like many Italians of that time, he dreamed of returning rich and a powerful man, perhaps even one day able to make a great wine in his homeland. He never did, though his son, Giuseppe did. Pin married Lidia, bought vineyards and began to make wine. In 1977 the family took up residence at La Spinetta in Castagnole Lanze and still run the estate today. Yellow coloured wine with green reflections it is full bodied, vibrant, fresh, delicately sweet, yet light. A wine that surprises by its remarkable freshness and brilliant fruit flavours. Bodegas Benito Urbina Seleccion Rioja Spain
Description: Made from a selection of the very best Tempranillo grapes from vines over 20 year old are used for the production of Reserva and Gran Reserva wines. Once in the winery the fruit is aged 15 months in American oak casks and released early before Reserva status, but with all the qualities of Urbina's Reserva wines. The result is an intense, dark ruby red coloured wine showing a very concentrated nose of berries, damsons, and figs.
