San Valentino is a small winery and was purchased by its current owner, Robert Mascarin in 1990, with its first commercial vintage in 1997. In 2000 Fabrizio Moltard was hired as a wine consultant and the results are evident and this wine had been awarded the prestigious Tre Bicchieri or Three Glass award in the 2004 Gambera Rosso, the Italian wine bible. Hugely intense nose with big, ripe fruits and chocolaty oak with massive, opulent, black cherry fruit, toasty oak flavours. In the mouth, the massive structure with its complicated tannic structure is complimented by the dominating fruit. With a fantastic palate and great persistence this is a wine to be enjoyed. Bodegas Aragonesas CENTENARIA Garnacha Campo de Borja DO
Description: A wine produced solely from the Garnacha grape variety. This wine is a blend from three vineyards whose origens go back to the beginning of the 20th Century, with a total quantity of 5.500 vines. Harvest takes place in the fourth week of September. Production is limited to 10.000 bottles. Traditional wine making method undertaken, fermented at 28ºC in temperature controlled stainless steel deposits, followed by a four week maceration period with skin contact. A clear and bright cherry red colour and the aromas are potent, strongly reflecting the grape variety with spicy hints afforded by the ageing in oak casks and the maturing in bottle. On the palate it is smooth, full tasting and well-structured and lingers on. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: Light straw in color, the wine's aromas are fresh and inviting, with a kiwi, ripe citrus, pineapple and other tropical fruit tones. A smooth palate impression compliments and dovetails with the wine's bright core of fruit. The wine was produced from 2 vineyards, both located in the Kelseyville area of Lake County. The largest portion was farmed organically. All of the wine was stainless-steel fermented at low temperature over a 20-25 day period and was not allowed to undergo malo-lactic fermentation. While no oak was used in the production of the wine; it was left on its lees in the tank for nearly 3 months to add flavor interest and mouth feel. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: In this Zinfandel, we have tempered a full-throttle, densely textured Sierra Foothills portion with two, more stylish, yet very flavorful,portions from Sonoma County. While the Sierra Foothills lot is all plum jam, leather, and figs; the Sonoma wines are both brimming with raspberry and blackberry flavors. The Mendocino fraction was harvested at a modest 24.0 brix which gave us a well-proportioned wine with fine cherry/blackberry fruit, a touch of briar and peppery tones. Lastly, our Lodi component, harvested very ripe, but in perfect condition, at 26.1 brix, contributes rich color, soft tannins and wonderful roasted black fruit character. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: Ripe, lush aromas of grapefruit, pineapple, pear, and orange peel are enhanced by clean oak spice and the creaminess of malo-lactic fermentation. The palate is especially full and smooth in texture, with loads of ripe citrus, juicy pear and tangerine fruit. This Chardonnay gave us a very exciting and especially rich style Chardonnay. The blend represents a variety of growing regions and vineyards, for the most part our long term contracts, but some new sources as well.Significant percentages of the blend are provided by Clarksburg and Lodi . These provide wonderful, full textured, baseline Chardonnay character (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Jean Pillot LES CHAMPS CLAUDE Santenay
Description: Jean-Marc Pillot has recently taken over from his father, Jean, at the family owned domaine. While able to draw on the experience and advice of his father he has made changes to the estate, including a new cave, that have propelled the domaine up the league of premiere producers of wine in Burgundy. Equally capable of producing great white or red wine the style is always intensely fruity, graceful, and precise. With white wines dominating the 10 hectare domaine the vineyard holdings are spread throughout the village of Chassagne with subsidiary parcels in Puligny, Santenay, and Remigny . The vines in most parcels are between 25 and 50 years old. Traditional viticultural practices are used in the vineyards where, Cordon de Royat and Guyot Simple pruning and training systems are employed. The grapes are completely destemmed before being sent into open top tanks where the Pinot Noir undergoes cold maceration for 5 days at less than 10 C, before spending 10 to 18 months in barrel. A deep red coloured wine with red fruit aromas, this wine has a rich, ripe and very Pinot Noir character with a long finish. (6 x 75 cl)
