La Tunella Merlot Colli Orientali
Description: The Zorzettig family own the La Tunella 65 hectare vineyard in Ipplis, at the heart of the Colli Orientali, where 8 hectares of Merlot are planted to make this wine. The grapes are harvested by hand in early October where the best grapes are selected and given extended fermentation time in Stainless steel tanks and French Oak. After the appropriate decantations, the wine is allowed to rest for the entire spring-summer season and bottled in early June. Characteristic bouquet, sweet and gentle with hints of plum jam, tobacco, hay and coffee. To the taste this 100% Merlot is dry and mellow, savory, harmonious with fruity flavours of blackberries and plums. The varietal fruit flavoured scents clearly emerge and perfectly blend with the aromas imparted to it by the French oak in which this Merlot matured. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Alain Cailbourdin LES CRIS Pouilly Fume
Description: In this exceptional winegrowing region, just two hours south of Paris, Carmen and Alain have patiently put together their estate over the last fifteen years. Building up a superb collection of plots on some of the finest slopes of Pouilly-sur-Loire their approach respects the soil and the environment of these vineyards that face the Loire. Picked on a limestone, south-west-facing hillside, this racy vintage is the most typical of the range. The 'Cris' is the local term to describe 'pebbly limestone sown with vines'. The aromatic range, full of elegance, first releases some fruity then mineral tones. After 1 or 2 years, these tastes become more refined, taking on more and more the imprint of the local earth. The impression in the mouth is powerful, woody, and outstandingly mellow. There is excellent balance, thanks to a perfect maturity of the grapes. (12 x 75 cl)

Vinification is traditional, with a small proportion of the harvest undergoing whole bunch fermentation in order to retain the fruitiness of the grapes. The vines for this wine are over 30 years old and the harvest is all by hand. The vinification method is traditional with destalking and the separate vinification of each variety. Fermentation takes place over 12 days in vats, and then ageing takes place for about 10 months with 70% in vats and the remaining 30% in 2 (12 x 75 cl)
