Description: This Gran Reserva is a blend of Tempranillo 87%, Graciano 5% and Mazuelo 8%. Selecting the best grape and obtaining the best wine are a painstaking process, because of the necessary demands of quality in the production of these wines, there are years that are not suitable for obtaining a Gran Reserva. Only in good years are the grape selected for Gran Reserva. The production process is based on very careful ageing lasing twenty-four months in American and French oak casks, with periodic decanting and serene ageing in bottles, where the wine remains until it reaches it optimum conditions for consumption. The wine is a beautiful cherry red colour with light ochre tones. The bouquet is fine and elegant, with certain toasted aromas that develop with aeration towards balsamic, tobacco and sweet, fleshy fruit. A smooth and velvety taste is evident which fills the palate. Tasty, structured, with tannic sensations of figs, honey and ripe fruit, this Gran Reserva's exit is harmonious and persistent with a long finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: Omaka Springs Estates is a family business owned by Geoff and Robina Jensen. The vineyards consist of 178 acres that lie across the Omaka Valley in the heart of Marlborough’s wine growing area. The first vines were planted in 1989 and further developed when Omaka Springs Estates were established in 1992. The winemaker Ian Marchant has been with Omaka Springs since 1997 and this Sauvignon Blanc is grown in a perfect combination of warm sunny days and cool nights to produce the highest quality grapes for use in their wines. The grapes were harvested meticulously on an early April morning whilst the day was still cool, and then immediately crushed, juiced, and then settled, racked off the lees before ferment at 12°C. The wine was then carefully blended with a delicate amount of Semillon and then held in temperature controlled conditions until final filtering before bottling. Great care from the vineyard to the winery has produced a pale straw coloured wine with green tints. On the nose it is showing herbaceous with grassy and gooseberry flavours while the palate is refreshing with zesty flavours and a sliver of sweetness. (12 x 75 cl)

Pieropan LE COLOMBARE Recioto di Soave Classico Veneto
Description: Le Colombare from Pieropan is obtained from the shrivelled recie of choice Garganega grapes, the top part of each bunch, with the ripest and best exposed berries. The bunches are laid out on traditional straw mats, in well aired rooms for a few months. In early spring, the semi-dried grapes are pressed, and the resulting juice is fermented and aged in oak barrels for two years. Intense gold, almost amber coloured, delicately reminiscent of exotic fruit and apricots on the nose, its initial impression on the palate is delicately sweet, a prelude to pleasing and unexpected aromatic complexity. Pieropan’s estate covers 30 hectares of vineyard, all of which are situated on the hills of the Soave Classico zone. The Pieropan family has been producing wines in Soave since the 1860s. Indeed, they were the first producer to bottle a wine with the name Soave on the label, in the early 1930s. Nino Pieropan took over from his father in 1970, and was the first to produce a single vineyard wine, Calvarino, in 1971. The Calvarino vineyard has been in the family since 1901. (6 x 50 cl)

Quentin David CHATEAU FAVRAY Pouilly-Fume
Description: When Quentin David inherited some family farmland in 1981, all of prime exposure and within the Appellation area, it did not take him long to convert it to accommodate vineyards. Today he has 18 acres in production with the potential of developing a further 50 in the coming years. His wine is recognised as being a fine example of Pouilly and there is no doubt that Chateau Favray is one of the leading names on the market. Vinification takes place in stainless steel with controlled temperature, while traditionally, the wine does not make any malolactic fermentation. Bottling only starts from July following the harvest. This is pure Sauvignon Blanc, not just a grassy, acidic dry white but a round, lush wine with depth of fruit and fantastic concentration, and superb balance.
