| Description: |

This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is brimming with fruit. It is deep coloured, plummy and concentrated on the nose and mouthfilling and swaggeringly robust on the palate. There is no attempt at elegance, a characteristic that eludes the Montepulciano grape, but only a successful attempt to capture the savage intensity of the grape. Rossetti is a small 'negociant' house situated in Ceretto Guidi, the village adjacent to Vinci. Consultant winemaker Alberto Antonini works with Tino Rossetti at his small 'negociant' house situated in Ceretto Guidi, the village adjacent to Vinci, Tuscany. (12 x 75 cl)

Rothbury Estate BROCKENBACK Shiraz Hunter Valley New South Wales
Description: The Rothbury Estate Brokenback range constitutes the pinnacle of winemaking at one of the Hunter Valley’s most famous wineries. The fruit for each of the wines is sourced from vineyards at the foot of the famous Brokenback ranges to the west of Pokolbin, in New South Wales. The Brokenback Shiraz is a classic example of one of Australia’s great red wine styles – Lower Hunter Shiraz. The Brokenback Shiraz presents as a medium red/purple colour in the glass. The nose offers lifted berry fruit with balanced American oak and a hint of classic Hunter Valley earthiness. On the palate the rich, ripe varietal Shiraz flavours of sweet berry, chocolate and spicy oak, tight grained tannins combine to deliver a soft and velvety mouthfeel with good length. Cellaring: 3 to 6 years Viticulture: The fruit for the Brokenback Shiraz comes from the loamy volcanic soils at the foot of the Brokenback ranges in the Lower Hunter Valley. Vinification: After de-stemming and crushing, the must was transferred to stainless steel tanks where it began fermentation. Traditional cap management techniques were employed such as plunging and pumping over. The wine was pressed and transferred into oak barrels where it completed fermentation. It received 12 months maturation in American and French oak barrels. (6 x 75 cl)

Rothbury Estate Chardonnay South Eastern Australia
Description: The Rothbury Estate, a working winery since 1968, is situated within Australia's oldest wine-growing region, the famous Hunter Valley. It has long been known for its diversity of wines and for recognising the potential for winemaking in the Hunter, as well as the surrounding areas of Mudgee, Cowra and Orange. 100% Chardonnay fruit was sourced from a range of vineyard sites in South Eastern Australia, the grapes were machine harvested at night to ensure optimum freshness of fruit characters and condition. Once in the winery the fruit was crushed and following this a portion of the wine was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and American oak. Additionally, a small amount of the final blend underwent malo-lactic fermentation to add a greater complexity with a creamy mouthfeel and an enhanced the soft fruity finish. The Rothbury Estate Blue Label Chardonnay is mid straw colour with vibrant youthful notes in the glass. Classic Chardonnay aromas of peach, melon with a hint of citrus and a subtle oak influence are present on the nose. The palate shows rich fruit flavours with supporting oak and a refreshing crisp finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Rothbury Estate HUNTER VALLEY Verdelho NSW
Description: The Rothbury Estate Hunter Valley Verdelho is a bright green gold in colour. The wine shows vibrant tropical fruit characters and a touch of musk. The palate is generous and rich with an elegant, soft finish. Hunter Valley Verdelho has made a name for itself as one of Australia’s best unwooded, white wine styles. The Rothbury Estate Hunter Valley Verdelho style offers all the full fruit flavour of Chardonnay without the need for supporting oak. Region The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest viticultural zone and only a two-hour drive north of Sydney. The Hunter is famous for producing wines with distinct varietal and regional character. Although the climate is warm to hot, afternoon cloud cover and cool breezes throughout the night reduce the impact of the heat during vintage. Verdelho is sourced from the Upper Hunter Valley around the town of Denman in New South Wales. The conditions of this area combined with established vines, planted in the mid 1980’s, produce fruit with very good varietal flavours. As the vines mature the fruit can be picked slightly earlier, at around 12.5° Baume, and with better flavour profiles. Winemaking The fruit was de-stemmed, crushed and pressed on arrival at the winery. The juice was fermented at cool temperatures to retain the fresh varietal characters of the Verdelho. The wine was bottled early and received no oak treatment. (6 x 75 cl)
