Cantine Belisario VIGNETI BELISARIO Verdicchio di Metelica
Description: This Verdicchio Vigneti Belisario is soft and rounded, yet structured, with a nutty savoury character, a satisfying richness on the palate, and a persistent finish. The Vigneto Belisario is made from organically grown grapes. This region has a continental climate which encourages the development of aromatic qualities in the grapes, keeps production down and allows the grapes to ripen fully. It is fermented and aged in stainless steel at around 18◦ Celsius, with the must being hyperoxidised prior to fermentation in order to ensure that minimal sulphur can be used at bottling – although sulphur is the only chemical allowed under organic production, Belisario naturally aims to minimise its use. Founded in 1971, Belisario produces grapes from 300 hectares of vineyards, 24 of which are biodynamic. It is the largest producer of Verdicchio in the region of Matelica DOC. All of their Verdicchio wines exhibit great regional typicity (12 x 75 cl)
