Adega do Cantor ONDA NOVA Syrah Vinho Regional Algarvio Portugal
Description: This red is from Vinho Regional Algarvio in Portugal is made from 100% Syrah grapes in selected blocks of the Sir Cliff Richard vineyard. Once in the winery great care and attention to detail is undertaken to produce this wine that spends 12 months in a mix of Stainless steel and French and American oak barrels. The result is an easy drinking red showing an impressive deep, dark red colour, almost opaque in the middle and a spicy, gamey bouquet, with ripe red berry fruits, and nuances of mocha, tobacco and mint. A soft, sweet supple palate with savoury fruit notes are evident while the good concentration and body are seamlessly integrated with the oak as this nicely structured wine culminates in a long firm finish. Adega do Cantor is the winery co-owned by Sir Cliff Richard. Since embarking upon this highly ambitious venture just five years ago, the wines are now showing amazing poise and finesse as well as concentration. (6 x 75 cl)
