Domaine Des Vieux Pruniers Rose Sancerre
Description: Domaine de Vieux Pruniers is situated in the heart of Bué, one of the finest villages in the Sancerre appellation. Production is small, with a 'hands on' approach in the vineyard and minimal handling in the winery. Made exclusively from Pinot Noir it the grapes come from small vineyards that yield small parcels of fruit. The grapes are harvested and vinified seperately in stainless steeel, temperature controlled tanks with the greatest care possible to respect the delicate, fruity characters. During the fermentation the wine is racked off the skins before too much colour or tannin is extracted and rested in steel tanks until blending, filtering and bottling. Possesses a lightly aromatic, juicy nose of strawberries with hints of crushed leaves. The palate is dry, light and fruity with a mouthwatering layer of red fruits covering its vivacious, mineral acidity that lends elegance and poise to the long, crisp finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir Willamette Valley DDO Oregon
Description: Rather intense red hue. Black cherry, and fresh herb aromas. Also notes of coffee and spices. A rather soft attack and then a medium-bodied middle palate. Soft on the finish, it has excellent length. I would not confuse this wine with a Pinot Noir from Burgundy but at the same time it reminds me of the lovely, elegant style of a famous estate in the Côte de Nuits. I'll let you guess which one!
