Description: Vallona has been concentrating exclusively on his two vineyards the new one on the Lamezzi Estate at 350 metres above sea level and the original plot around the large attractive cellar at Fagano. Vallona plan is taking shape, he has about 23 hectares under vine, all cordon trained spur pruned and plants at 5000 to 6000 vines per hectare. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon red ruby coloured wine has an elegant and generous nose full of fruit and spice. This straw yellow coloured wine with delicate a green reflection is a blend of 85% Pignoletto and 15% Riesling. Faustino Brut Reserva Sparkling Cava
Description: Don Eleuterio Martinez Arzok was born in Barriobusto. In 1861 he bought a house and lands in Oyon and founded the Faustino Group. At the turn of the century the vineyards were totally destroyed by phylloxera. His son Don Faustino Martinez Perez de Albeniz was born in 1904 and, in 1920, he helped his father rebuild and restore the vineyards. Faustino began bottling their wines in 1930 and by 1957 Don Julio Faustino Martinez, the third generation, took over the family business and in 1960, the Faustino brand was created in honour of his father. The Macabeo and Chardonnay grapes come from the bodega's own vineyards and this cava is aged 26 months in lattes. It is a lovely pale yellow coloured wine with powerful, complex and fruity aromas showing hints of raspberries and rose petals. The Palate is fresh, fruity and tasty, while the noticeable acidity is perfectly balanced with other flavours of this is very expressive sparkling wine, with a marked fruity finish. (12 x 75 cl)
