Fontanafredda LAZZARITO Barolo Vigna La Delizia Piemonte
Description: Bright ruby/scarlet coloured wine with just the lightest hint of orange. The aromas are an exotic mix of ripe dark fruits and leather with hints of dried porcini mushrooms. Smoky ripe plums show in the nose and on the palate that are followed by layers of dusty burnt cherries and bitter oranges which are still held in check by firm, hard tannins that are somehow surprisingly round in their intensity. The finish is restrained by its intense tannins, but the powerful complex fruit flavors are already starting to show through, a wine for long-term cellaring. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: Established in 1991, and set in 10 hectares of vineyards great care is taken in producing the wines of Quinta da Fonte do Ouro. The estate is divided into three plots, two in Mortagua and one in Nelas, here 90% of the vines are red, and over half are planted with the popular local varietal Touriga Nacional. This lovely red coloured wine is complemented by the oaky aromas from the use of barrel ageing.
