Batasiolo ARSIGA Dolcetto d' Alba DOC Piemonte
Description: Colour: deep ruby red going towards violet. Bouquet: intense, fruity with hints of cherry and sweet vanilla. Taste: full, rich, with well-balanced tannins and a good persistent after-taste. Vinification & Refinement: l'Arsigà is created by assembling Dolcetto grapes from four different vineyards. Once the grapes reach ripeness they are harvested. The must obtained by pressing is left to ferment for around 7-8 days at a temperature that varies between 20 and 22º C. The wine is then filtered and half is left to refine in steel tanks and half in barriques. At the end of spring the two wines are mixed together and the wine is left in the bottle 4 or 5 months prior to being released. Area: The vineyards are all south facing with an altitude that varies between 300 and 400 metres. (6 x 75 cl)
