Giovanni Dri IL RONCAT Ramandolo DOC Fruili
Description: This Cru version of Dri's most famous dessert wine is matured in French oak, giving it extra depth and complexity, but retaining its elegance and subtlety. In the early 1970s, Giovanni Dri and his wife Renata re-established the 8 hectares family estate in the northern part of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. In 1976 an earthquake destroyed the winery and Dri was forced to start again. Thankfully, a brilliant vintage that year persuaded him that it was all worth while. Ramandolo is Dri's flagship wine, his Picolit is one of the finest made from this rare variety: the new oak fermentation adding further levels of complexity (12 x 75 cl)
