Weingut Norbert Bauer VON HAUGSDORF Osterreich Austria
Description: Jetzelsdorf is one of a few areas in Austria which has a tradition of red wine production dating back at least two centuries. Soft, rolling hills, a sunny climate with a high average annual temperature and long annual sunshine hours make it ideal for production of exciting local grape varieties such as Blauer Portugieser. The Bauer family is known to have farmed in what is now the Weinveirtel wine growing district of Austria since 1721, where wines are traditionally produced, the bunches are destemmed and fermented in closed tanks with regular pumping over. Norbert Bauer has recently won accolades from Wine Magazine for his superb reds, this is no exception (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Henri Gouges CLOS DES PORRETS 1er Cru Nuits-Saint-Georges
Description: The Henri Gouges domain was established in Nuits Saint Georges at the very beginning of this century. Founded by Henri Gouges, it was subsequently developed by his two sons, Michel and Marcel. In the last 15 years Pierre and Christian, the grandsons, have carried on the traditions of the estate by continuing the quest for excellence in everything they do both in the vineyards and in the cellars, they produce wines considered to be the benchmark for Nuits. The wines are produced on 14.5 hectares of vineyards and includes holdings in 6 Nuits St. Georges 1er Crus. Uncompromising about quality and respectful of the typicity of the different vintages, the harvest is entirely destemmed and vinification takes place in lined cement vats for approximately fifteen days, depending on the vintage. After cuvaison, the wine is transferred to small oak barrels and after 18 months ageing in oak barrels, using a maximum of 20 % new oak in the final blending, the wines are fined with egg whites and given a light filtration before bottling. This Premier Cru (12 x 75 cl)

Giacomo Ascheri VIGNA NIRANE Dolcetto D'Alba Piemonte
Description: The Giacomo Ascheri Cellars originated in La Morra: in that area, where a place called “Ascheri” still exists, in the early 19th century the first vines were planted and the first wines produced. In 1880 the winery was moved from La Morra to Bra, where it is still situated today. In a world where wines are generally produced with the same grapes, the same technology, the same wood for ageing and above all the same consultants, Ascheri's aim is to obtain a wine which is the expression of the vineyard it comes from, the grapes it was made of, and above all Giacomo Ascheri own ideas. In order to achieve this, Giacomo Ascheri have chosen a natural approach, with a moderate use of technology, without changing the nature of the wine with special procedures. They have attached new importance to old oak barrel ageing making choices entirely by ourselves. his wine is produced from the Vigna Nirane vineyard in Verduno. Harvested in mid to late September by hand this 100% Dolcetto is aged 6 months in stainless steel tanks and atleast a further 2 months in the bottle. This Dolcetto is a ruby red colour with violet nuances and a generous, persistent bouquet, with small red berries and cherry fruit nose. The round, persistent, greatly balanced palate is harmonious, pleasant with great tipicity and a great finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Brown Brothers EVERTON White Victoria Australia
Description: This sassy unwooded, dry white wine is made from a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio grapes. A pale straw colour the wine has delicate aromas of peach, apricot and almond kernels. On the palate the wine is fresh, crisp and lively with beautiful fruit flavours and a slight savouriness. It is a well- structured wine with persistent flavours and a crisp, dry, lingering finish. This is a wine to be enjoyed within 2-3 years of vintage while it is young and vibrant (12 x 75 cl)

Jean-Claude Boisset Chateau Pierreux Brouilly AC
Description: This wine is bright, deep purple in colour, with a forward, open nose. It has perfumes of raspberries and strawberries which are characteristic of good Gamay. A good depth of flavour on the palate, with enough structure to balance the wealth of ripe, cherryish fruit. Chateau de Pierreux, a 190-acre estate situated in the heart of Brouilly with a magnificent chateau winery built during the Renaissance, is one of the finest domains in the Beaujolais region. It has been controlled and vinified by Jean-Claude Boisset since the 2002 vintage. The 76 hectares of vineyard are planted on highly absorbent sandy soil, consisting of pink granite sprinkled with blue volcanic rocks. The 40-45 year old vines are planted at a density of around 10,000 vines per hectare and are gobelet, or bush trained. (6 x 75 cl)
