Santadi VILLA DI CHIESA IGT Sardinia
Description: Santadi stands out as one of the best examples of co-operative winemaking in Sardinia. Founded in 1960, it currently has 250 members cultivating 400 hectares of vineyards in the Sulcis area, on the south-western side of the island. In 2000 this wine received a recognition from the Tre Bicchieri del Gambero Rosso. Villa di Chiesa is a blend, which harmonises typical Vermentino grape types with the Chardonnay. Fermented and refined in barriques of French oak, this wine is full-bodied and possesses a complex and fruity bouquet, while on the palate it is harmonious and intense. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: The 8 hectare vineyard was purchased by the present owners, Vignobles Trocard, in 1976 with the aim of producing great Bordeaux. Situated in the heart of Lalande de Pomerol, on deep gravely top soil with iron pan in the subsoil has produced wines of great character. The wine is a blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc and is aged on average 14 months in oak casks. This is a dark ruby, velvety coloured wine with Nervy, but complex bouquet, a long lived flavour and a subtle amount of tannin. Available in Magnum Bottles. (6 x 1.5 Litres)
