| Description: |
 |
This wine has deep, dense colour and an essency nose of blackberries, blackcurrant, aniseed, pepper and ink while oak treatment is nicely restrained. The same intensity follows through the palate, which has ripe, piercing flavour that's long, tangy and complete. This shiraz finishes with ripe, fine-grained tannins and a soft, fragrant aftertaste. Established in 1989 by Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith, Shaw and Smith wines are made exclusively from grapes grown in the Adelaide Hills, one of Australia's coolest and most exciting regions. (6 x 75 cl)

La Prendina Merlot Garda DOC
Description: The Azienda Agricola La Prendina was acquired in 1958 and at first the wines were sold under the Cavalchina brand. The first wine to use the name of La Prendina was a Merlot bottled in 1980 for Gualtiero Marchesi, but it was only in 1990 that we see the wines of La Prendina sold under the name La Prendina. In the vineyard La Prendina aims to grow full flavoured concentrated grapes while the task in the cellar is to express the nature of the grape and terroir. A lovely, soft and supple red with lots of fruit. (12 x 75 cl)

Yering Station Shiraz Viognier Yarra Valley Victoria
Description: Established in 1838 as the first vineyard in Victoria, the winery was built by Paul de Castella in 1859 from hand-made bricks, it originally housed some very advanced wine-making equipment that Paul de Castella had imported from France. An elegant example of a cool climate shiraz. This vibrant wine is medium-bodied, yet has a dense palate with a fantastic concentration of fruit flavour. A Deep Garnet coloured blend of 95% Shiraz and 5% Viognier. This wine has a complex and powerful nose, due in part to the addition of 5% viognier on the ferment. It has aromas of ripe berries, complex violet, liquorice and spice with a tarry oak complexity. The palate is full and rich with liquorice and floral flavours. Well balanced with soft ripe tannins and a silky, long and clean finish. This wine will gain intensity and palate length with further bottle age. (6 x 75 cl)

Chateau de Garraud Lalande de Pomerol
Description: The yields are limited by Double Guyot pruning with bud removal, manual leaf removal and crop thinning when necessary. The grapes, 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, are harvested by hand at full maturity and gone over by hand on a vibrating sorting table. The vinification is done in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with 2-3 week maceration. The maturing is conducted in the traditional manner for about 18 months, 80% in oak barrels, a third of which is renewed every year, and 20% in vats. Château Garraud possesses great elegance and a red color that evolve into a Purple-garnet with raspberry highlights. It releases a bouquet of redcurrants and vanilla, while the oakiness is still present. Velvety texture, great length and a long finish. Available in Magnums.
