Col d'Orcia BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO DOCG
Description: Dark ruby red with an extraordinary rich and elegant bouquet. Full and harmonious. The Col d’Orcia Estate covers some 525 hectares near Sant’Angelo in Colle in the southern part of Montalcino, including 80 hectares of vineyards and 100 hectares of olive groves. Col d’Orcia is one of Montalcino’s most dynamic wineries, with massive investment in cellar technology and vineyard research. Thanks to consultant Maurizio Castelli and enologist Mario Olivero, the wines are in the modern vein: Brunello di Montalcino has the classic tarry complexity but with a supple structure of fruit and soft tannins. The cru Poggio al Vento comes from 4 hectares vineyard and is widely considered one of the finest modern expressions of Brunello. Rosso di Montalcino is excellent value with delicious ripe strawberry flavour. Ghiaie Bianche is one of the finest of Tuscany’s new crop of oak-fermented Chardonnays: now with a better balance between ripe fruit and toasty oak (1 x 3 Litres)

Ferraton Pere et Fils SAMORENS Cotes du Rhone Blanc AC
Description: The son of a wine producer and a wine producer himself, Jean Ferraton founded his own vineyard in 1946 in the Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage appellations together with his father-in-law, Jean Reverdy. He passed on his passion to his son, Michel who developed the estate by extending the vineyards and adding the current premises in Tain L'Hermitage. In 1994 his son, Samuel Ferraton took over and has continued the family's art of wine-making, preserving the knowledge and learning that have been handed down to him. This wine is a blend of white Grenache and Clairette from the Laudun area. Hand harvesting at optimal ripeness has produced a lovely bright, pale golden colour with silver hints. Aromas of white flowers and white fruits give way to a nicely balanced wine, where the Clairette brings the freshness and the white Grenache brings the body and softness. (12 x 75 cl)

Chateau d'Yquem 1er Cru Superieur Classe Sauternes
Description: In 1993 Chateau d'Yquem celebrated 400 years of ownership by the same family. In 1593, the Sauvage family bought the estate, which came into the Lur Saluces patrimony when Francoise Josephine de Sauvage married Count Louis Amedee de Lur Saluces in 1785. In 1855 the estate was given the honorary title of premier Cru superieur, ranking it above all others. The present owner, Comte Alexandre de Lur Saluces, took over the management of the estate in 1968. Highly motivated to perfect this prestigious product while respecting tradition, he is determined to offer maximum quality, and makes no compromises with every wine he produces, leading one taster to describe the wine as distilled dew and honey with the fragrance of all the fresh wild flowers of the field greeting the dawn. The only grapes picked are those effected by botrytis, noble rot, and following fermentation, the wine is aged for several years in oak barrels. (12 x 37.5 cl)
