Description: Wine and wine growing has been the family business for over a century and the present owner Victor Fernandez de Manzanos grandfather, Lorenzo, set up the bodega in the town of Azagra in 1890. Since that time Bodegas Fernandez de Manzanos has steadily grown and today covers 100 hectares of vineyards. Sourced from the family run vineyards close to the winery in Azagra, this Crianza benefits from 18 months careful storage in oak and in bottle. Domaine Jean-Pierre Grossot LES FOURNEAUX 1er Cru Chablis
Description: Corinne and Jean-Pierre Grossot are the third generation of winemakers from this family owned domaine, where they cultivate 13 hectres of Chablis Appellation Controlée vineyards. The grapes are hand harvested, gently pressed to achieve the fullest extraction of flavors and aromas. The juice ferments very slowly at low, controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. After a first racking, the new wines age in stainless steel only, which is traditional for Chablis. Finally the bottling takes place 1 year after the harvest. This Chablis comes from the south facing portion vineyard where the grapes receive the greatest heat from the sun and hence the wines name Fourneaux or Oven. The wine offers ripe nearly tropical fruit flavors laced with mineral, oak, honey, and good mouth feel. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: The Particular wines are made from grapes selected from the best and oldest vineyards owned by Valentin Bianchi in San Rafael. This ‘Particular’ Cabernet Sauvignon has a good intensity, with deep colour and attractive perfumes of red fruits, particularly blackcurrant and plums. Full-bodied on the palate, with ripe tannins rounded out by the addition of the plummy Merlot and Syrah , this wine has nicely balanced oak and fruit, with a long finish. The Bianchi family winery was founded in 1928 by Italian immigrant Valentin Bianchi and now covers 350 hectares of vineyard. It is run by the third generation, headed by Enzo Bianchi. Until recently a sleeping giant that was dependent largely on the domestic market, they have undergone a gradual transformation and modernisation in the past few years. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: This Syrah is bursting with the spicy aromas and flavors of pomegranate, black cherry and earth. With a full mild and round tannin backbone, on the mouth this wine is full of fresh strawberries to augment the flavors found in the aromas. This full-bodied Syrah is best paired with grilled meats, spicy pasta sauces and a wide array of fruits and cheeses. Vineyard: Livermore Valley's warm days and cool nights are excellent for growing high-quality Syrah. This wine comes from four vineyards throughout the valley, each with its own mesooclimate. Fermentation: Each vineyard was harvested separately and fermented in upright fermenters. Rack and return was performed twice daily. Rack and return is the process of draining all of the free-run juice off of the cap, then pumping the free-run juice back over the top of the fermenter. This method increases color and tannin extraction and improving mouthfeel through the integration of oxygen. Aging: Each blend was aged separately, with part in neutral French and American oak barrels and part in stainless steel. (12 x 75 cl)

Gonzalez Byass ELEGANTE Fino Sherry
Description: Ageing wines from Jerez takes place through the laborious, precise process known as the Criaderas y Solera system. In this process, the younger wines are blended slowly and methodically with other more mature ones. The older wines impart their flavour to the younger ones, while the latter freshen the former due to their youth and strength. All the grapes are from vineyards owned by González Byass in the Jerez Superior area and after approximately 3 years of ageing it is ready to drink.
