New Wave Wines is a relatively new Company who make wine from grapes grown in England. They consider that being English they do not have a long history of wine-making or many familiar grape varieties. However, they see that as a strength and come without the baggage of snobbery, tradition and convention; while they produce fresh wines, fresh ideas with fresh energy. This wine is made from the Muller-Thurgau, or as it is known in Luxembourg the Rivaner, grape. It undergoes extended yeast contact after fermentation that adds body, flavour and complexity. This wine is lively and fragrant with a distinctive 'sur lie' aroma following through with an attractive clean crisp fruit palate and a refreshing finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Donnafugata MILLE e UNA NOTTE Contessa Entellina Sicilia
Description: The Contessa Entellina zone was given DOC status in 1994. The region enjoys temperate winters and summers marked by substantial fluctuations between daytime and night time temperatures, which assure the production of wholesome grapes that are perfectly ripe and rich in aromas. This wine is called Mille e una Notte or Thousand and One Nights. The wine label designed by Gabriella Anca Rallo captured this image with the sky dotted with stars while the palace on the label is that of Santa Margherita Belice. Harvested in September, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel at 26-30ºC and with skin contact of about 12 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is placed in mostly new French-oak barriques for 15-18 months, while bottle fining takes at least 12 months. A wine with a big structure and a remarkable personality not only does it have great depth and complexity but also ripeness and richness of texture. (6 x 75 cl)
