Cortegiara Amarone Classico della Valpolicella Fumane Veneto
Description: The Amarone Classico della Valpolicella is a blend of 70% Corvina Veronese, 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara. The fruit sourced for this wine was taken from vineyards located on hills in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico area. The grapes were dried for 100 days prior to pressing giving a great intensity of flavour. The wine is deep and intense, with damsons, plums and hints of chocolate on the nose. The palate is concentrated with figs, prunes and some cherries. It is warming with and rich on the finish with Christmas spice and dried fruit. (6 x 75 cl)

Southern Right Vineyard SOUTHERN RIGHT Pinotage Hermanus RSA
Description: In 1994, Anthony Hamilton Russell founded Southern Right Cellars as a Sauvignon and Pinotage specialist. As an early ripening grape, Antony Hamilton Russell and Kevin Grant, the winemaker, are convinced that Pinotage performs best in cooler areas where a longer slower ripening season affords fully developed tannins and greater fruit complexity. The Cellar is named after the rare Southern Right whale which frequents the cool South Atlantic Walker Bay, and each bottle sold Southern Right Cellars makes a contribution to Southern Right whale conservation. This deep red coloured wine is well-textured with expressions of red and black fruits and spicy oak. The sophisticated structure and well developed tannins are complemented by an enjoyable finish. (6 x 75 cl)

La Spinetta SEZZANA Rosso Toscana IGT
Description: The Rivetti family story begins in the 1890s, when Giovanni Rivetti, grandfather of the three Rivetti brothers, Carlo, Bruno and Giorgio, left Piedmont for Argentina. Like many Italians of that time, he dreamed of returning rich and a powerful man, perhaps even one day able to make a great wine in his homeland. He never did, though his son, Giuseppe did. Pin married Lidia, bought vineyards and began to make wine. In 1977 the family took up residence at La Spinetta in Castagnole Lanze and still run the estate today. The Sezzana Estate was purchased in 2001 to produce wines of great flavour and character. Great care and dedication is taken to produce this 100% Sangiovese wine that has spent 12-14 months in new french Oak before being transfered to stainless steel vats for 3 months. Finally, without any filtration or clarifying, it is aged another 3-4 months in the bottle. This has produced a dark ruby red coloured wine with scents of ripe berries, vanilla and coffee while the influence of oak is evident. Full bodied with sweet tannins the impeccably balanced wood and acidity deliver through to the long fine finish. (12 x 75 cl)
