Available in Magnum bottles. The Palmer estate was created in the early 19th century by General Palmer, with the Pereire family building the present Chateau around 1856. The property now belongs to French, English and Dutch families. The perfect synergy between the soils and grape varieties explains Chateau Palmer's exquisite finesse. The grapes are picked only when very ripe and are carefully sorted in the vineyard so that only the ripest, healthiest ones go to be crushed. Merlot brings roundness and fruitiness, Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure, length and elegance while Petit Verdot imparts colour and body which all contributes to the end wine. Stainless steel tanks in the traditional truncated cone shape are ideal for extracting fruit and tannin. During blending, only the best vats are retained to be sold under the prestigious name of Chateau Palmer. Oak barrels . Gunzian gravel . "An outstanding success for the vintage...This is a layered, concentrated, yet surprisingly velvety-textured Palmer..." Parker, . The growing season was complimented by an extraordinarily fine summer. Very hot and dry in August with relatively few grapes on the vines. The fruit was very ripe by mid-September, both in terms of sugar and phenolic maturity. The incessant rain that followed slightly diluted sugar levels, without affecting the phenolic compounds or the quality of the grapes. The tannin was easy to extract during fermentation. The three grape varieties combined to provide excellent structure, while maintaining Palmer's legendary elegance. The blend consists of 52% Merlot, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot. Deep, dark colour, which does not yet show any sign of age. The bouquet has become more complex and concentrated. with hints of black fruit, spice, tobacco, leather, prune, and vanilla. Powerful, concentrated, and elegant, with impressive structure, length, and tannins. Everything seems to indicate that this wine will age beautifully. Available in Original Wooden Case. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Brusset TRADITION Gigondas
Description: This 90 hectare estate in the heart of Southern Rhone was founded by André Brusset in 1947. The domaine, based in the ancient village of Cairanne, is now run by his son Daniel, and grandson Laurent, who was a winemaker. Yields are well below that required by law, and the fruit is of the highest quality. The grapes for this wine are 100% hand picked and vigorously selected for ripeness before the picking begins. The grapes are then crushed and destalked with no yeast added . The fermentations lasts for 15 days and the cap is punched down twice daily to aid the extraction of colour and tannin. The wine is then aged 60% in vats and 40% in 2 (6 x 75 cl)

Description: The Grillo has a straw yellow colour and a rich bouquet of bananas and ripe white fruits. It is full yet crisp on the palate, and has a nutty and long lasting finish. The Curatolo family works closely with Alberto Antonini on their Grillo in order to have at hand the modern winemaking skills required to allow these varieties to express their maximum potential. Villadoria Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOCG
Description: The Cappallotto Vineyard along with the Cantina Villadoria has been owned by the Lanzavecchia family for three generation and is situated in the center of the Langhe region. The grapes for this wine were grown in the Serralunga d'Alba part of the 70 acres that are under vine. Made from 100% Barbera grapes and aged in oak this is a reflection of the great care taken when producing this wine. This is a lovely ruby red coloured wine showing a vinous, strong yet delicate bouquet. Acquiring a full and harmonious flavour through the ageing in both Slavonia oak barrels and French barriques has produced a complex wine with an enjoable finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Chateau Talbot 4eme Cru Classe Saint Julien
Description: Chateau Talbot is one of the most ancient estates in the Medoc, and has fortunately passed from one competent manager to another over the centuries, and is fully worthy of its classification in 1855 as a great growth. This impressive estate owes its name to Connetable Talbot, Commander in Chief of the English Army and hero of the Battle of Castillon in 1453. Chateau Talbot is in an ideal location, a short distance from the Gironde Estuary, where the vines grow in fine gravelly rises. The Cordier family has owned Talbot since the early 1900's and several generations of the family have shown their deep understanding of the importance of quality. As a result of htis taditional methods are used along with the most modern ones, combining to make wines which are different every year but unfailingly well-balanced and complex. The 1996 vintage has a nose of cedary fruit with a pronounced mineral edge. The palate is well balanced with some savoury tannic structure on the finish. (12 x 75 cl)
