Bellavista CUVÉE BRUT DOCG Methodo Franciacorta Sparkling Wine
Description: Salmanazar. Yellow straw in colour with greenish tinges with a very fine and persistent perlage, intense, fresh perfume with hints of laurel and flowers. Bellavista is the only wine producer in the world that ferments in bottle Jeroboam Methuzelah and Salmanazar Entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti’s success in the building industry allowed him to indulge his passion for wine in the creation of a small estate. It began virtually as a hobby, but over the years it became the focus of Moretti’s work. With the gifted enologist Mattia Vezzola at the helm since 1980, Bellavista now produce wines of real finesse and individuality. The 50 hectares of vineyards are cultivated according to organic principles, and planting densities are high in order to limit yields per vine. In cellars carved into the hillside above Lake Iseo, vinification reflects both avant garde techniques and many of the traditions of Champagne. Long ageing on the lees in bottle is de rigueur for the sparkling wines, and the barrique is employed with great subtlety. For the Franciacorta wines, 40% of the juice is barrel-fermented. The resulted house style is characterised by an elegant balance, classy yeasty nose, a very fine perlage and persistent mousse (1 x 9 Litres)

Domaine Jean-Michel Gaunoux LES PERRIERES Pommard
Description: Jean-Michel Gaunoux has brought extraordinary energy and drive to the estate he took over in 1990 after having previously worked with his father Francois. The cellars are in Meursault and he now has 6 hectares of vines based in Puligny, Pommard and Volnay. Jean Michel Gaunoux has developed wine that are classically rich, stylish and opulent with intense balancing acidity a result of the deliberately low yields in the vineyards and hands-off approach to winemaking, with little racking and an extremely judicious use of new oak. Dalwhinnie MOONAMBEL Cabernet Sauvignon Pyrenees Victoria Australia
Description: Very much a cool climate style of Cabernet Sauvigon with a dark purple-cherry colour with a brilliant hue. The bouquet is showing cedar, violets and dark berry fruits in perfect harmony while on the nose the Cabernet fruit is highly perfumed and intensely concentrated. Fine juicy Cabernet flavours on the palate are displaying masses of fine talcum powder tannins but nothing assertive or out of balance leading to a long and very fine finish. Dalwhinnie is located near the tiny village of Moonambel in the heart of the Pyrenees region of Western Victoria, Australia and is a super premium producer of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. After 25 years of growing grapes, the 18 hectare vineyard is now fully mature, producing true varietal fruit characters with great concentration of flavours. At 595 metres above sea-level Dalwhinnie is the highest and most remote of the Pyrenees district vineyards. Surrounded and sheltered by the highest range, this unique bowl of vines is a world unto itself, located in a naturally undulating trough which falls away from the hills, forming an amphitheatre nestled into the ranges. (12 x 75 cl)

Dominio del Bendito AUTOJO RUBIO Vino de Paja
Description: Antony Terryn is one of those wine makers whose unbridled passion for his soil, vines and winemaking allows him to transcend the limitations set by those around him. Having made wine in some of the worlds most prestigious arenas, including his native France, Antony settled on a patch of old vine Tinta de Toro near the town of Toro in North West Spain. Being an area renowned for low cost bulk wine that fuelled the inhabitants of Madrid, what Toro isnt known for are the small patches of exceptional terroir that are to be found with a little hard work, but which largely seemed to have gone unnoticed. It is from this small patch of 8 hectares that Antony produces a small amount of each of his wines with the loving care and attention to detail that is so apparent once tasted. The low yields, hand harvesting and organic viticulture along with exacting fruit selection and meticulous wine making produce simply stunning wines. Available in 37.5 cl Half Bottles. (3 x 37.5 cl)
