America's leading wine magazine, The Wine Spectator, has twice selected Clancy's in its prestigious Top 100 listing and gold was awarded in London's International Wine Challenge. Garnet red in colour with a raspberry and mulberry bouquet with leafy hints, and understated oak. On the palate this is a supple wine with full berry characters showing a beautiful integration of fruit and oak. It finishes long with fine tannins.

Description: Wine St yle A wine displaying layers of flavour and interest as a result of fruit from a range of vineyard sites combined with traditional winemaking techniques. Vineyard This wine is produced from grapes grown on six vineyards located at the Western end of Waiheke I sland. Within these vineyards we grow five different clones of Chardonnay, each contributing different characters to the final wine, resulting in a more complex and appealing wine. Winemaking The grapes were hand harvested and whole bunched pressed. The j uice was settled for a short period prior to racking to French oak barriques for fermentation and maturation. The wine was aged in barrel on the yeast lees for 8 months prior to blending and bottling. We blended the wine from 8 different lots of wine, reflecting the different clones and vineyard sites. Description: Ricardo de Freitas is the third generation to run this small company, since grandfather Mario Barbeito set himself up in business in 1946. Over the last ten years Ricardo has transformed the operation into what must be the most dynamic of all Madeira shippers and it is now 50% owned by the Japanese company Kinoshita Shoji. Ricardo's approach to Cerceal, or using its Anglicised name Sercial, is not to make it as raspingly dry as you might expect, which results in a deliciously rounded interpretation of this wine. Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut LES PRULIERS 1er Cru Nuits Saint Georges
Description: In the early 1960's, this 22 acre estate was created by Fernand Lecheneaut while he worked for a nÉgociant in Beaune. He took advantage of opportunities to buy parcels of various vineyards, and finally quit the shipper trade when he had acquired enough. Based mainly in the C'te de Nuits, spread through the appellations of Nuit-St-Georges, Morey-St-Denis, Vosne RomanÉe and Chambolle Musigny, where it is planted with 90% Pinot Noir. In addition the Domaine have a small vineyard in the grand cru Clos de la Roche in Morey-St-Denis. The remaining 10% of grapes produced are evenly divided between Chardonnay and Aligote. Their annual production of 2,500 cases comes in 13 different bottlings and availability is strictly limited. Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut has been run since 1985 by brothers Vincent and Philippe Lecheneaut. The Estate in Nuits St Georges is considered one of the finest in Burgundy and tradition is the by-word for the wines made here. Once harvested the wine spends 18 months in barrique without any fining or filtration. The wines produced are superbly crafted, concentrated yet forward and elegant with well integrated oak. The spice-scented Premiere Cru Les Pruliers is a dark red coloured wine with a great spicey bouquet. Expressive black forest fruit flavours are evident throughout this wine to the long finish.
