The Monnier family have owned this estate for over 10 generations and this wine is created from grapes of 'Le Limozin' vineyard in Meursault. Carefully attention in the vineyard, including attentive pruning, is used to limit production and increase the quality, concentration and flavour of the grapes. This attention has produced a rich, full, classic Burgundy wine that has benefited from spending time in the barrel, of which 33% is new each year. The style of this wine is created through the use of oak and stainless steel to produce wines with the ultimate flavour but not needing long ageing. A typical Chardonnay it is a rich yellow almost golden colour with an intense Chardonnay nose of butter and hazelnuts. Good balancing acidity and full bodied palate, it is showing fine long layered lemony fruit and well integrated oak leading to a long enjoyable finish. (12 x 75 cl)

J Moreau et Fils Terret Chardonnay Vin de Pays d'Oc
Description: In 1814 the young cooper Jean-Joseph Moreau settled in Chablis where he married the daughter of a local wine grower. The house of J. Moreau & Fils was thus created.After having been a pioneer in the Chablis region, J. Moreau & Fils has become one of the biggest Chablis producers over the years, as well as one of the oldest and most active négociants-éléveurs of the Chablis region, recognised for its know-how and the style of its wines which respect the terroir and are enjoyed today in over 80 countries. The grapes are harvested at full maturity, crushed, de-stemmed and pressed before undergoing enzyme addition and cold settling. The juice is then racked. Fermented under controlled temperatures and matured on the lees. Le Terret is an old grape variety from the Languedoc, also called ''Bourret'', it is a hardy grape variety which is cultivated around the Bassin de Thau lake. It is chosen for the freshness it gives to its dry white wines. In combination with Chardonnay it has produced a wine of brilliant pale gold colour, with a fruity nose full of citrus aromas. The palate is fresh, with notes of green apple and lemon, good vivacity and nice finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: Alain Meunier and his wife, Sophie own this 7 hectare vineyard estate based at Premaux-Prissey, south of Nuits, additionally they have vineyard holdings in many parts of the Cotes de Nuits. Attention to detail and a passion for their work has produced wines with an exciting and enviable reputation. The grapes are grown organically and, to maximise the fruit, all the grapes are de-stemmed before vinification. These are powerful, rich wines that are bottled early to protect their intense, concentrated fruit. The wines are only racked before bottling, so there is 15-18 months of extended lees contact. The grand crus are aged in 100% new French oak, and the premier crus in 80%. This Pinot Noir is a red-ruby colour with black fruit, coffee and chocolate aromas. The Palate is supple, juicy, moderately dense with good pinot cut and length on the finish.

Castello di Ama VINSANTO Tuscany
Description: Voted Winery of the Year 2005 by the Gambero Rosso, Ama’s history goes back to 1972 when four Roman families united to purchase the Ama estate with the goal of restoring it to the splendour of its 18th century heyday. New cellars were built, new plantings began with experimentation into non-indigenous varietals, and new methods of viticulture were pursued while in 1982 Marco Pallanti was introduced as winemaker. The grapes that produce this Vinsanto were selected from the best malvasia bianca and trebbiano fruit from a total area of about 5 hectares in the Bellavista, Casuccia, and Bertinga vineyards. No more than 1-2 clusters per vine are suitable for producing this wine; such rigorous standards are necessary to ensure absolutely healthy, fully ripe grapes. Using the most experienced hand-harvested pickers a total of 214 quintals of exceptional malvasia and trebbiano toscano was selected.. The clusters, tied together and hung in special well-ventilated, open drying-lofts over a period of 60 days, lost 70% of their weight, thus concentrating their sugars. The whole clusters were then crushed and lightly pressed. The must was clarified by settling, and 200-litre lots then went into used Allier oak barriques. It then underwent the traditional fermentation in stages until the levels of alcohol and residual sugars brought an end to the fermentation. Finally, the Vinsanto was racked off the gross lees and returned to barrels to undergo 6 more years of oak ageing. Available in 37.5 cl Half Bottles. (6 x 37.5 cl)
