Arlewood Estate was established in 1988 in the Willyabrup Valley of the Margaret River wine region in Western Australia. The Gosatti family in partnership planted a small vineyard near Cowaramup in 1995, and acquired Arlewood Estate in 1999. In October 2005, The Gosatti Family completed an outright purchase of Arlewood to pursue the vision that is starting to crystalise with the release of some wines worthy of their situation. The total area under vine is 15 hectares and the plantings include 17 year old Cabernet Sauvignon and Semillon vines; 11 year old Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Franc; 10 year old Chardonnay, along with newer plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. This wine is a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon and all the fruit was sourced from Arlewood Estate vineyard; Willyabrup, Margaret River Appellation. Once in the winery the Sauvignon Blanc was tank fermented, while the Semillon component matured in new French oak barriques for 2 months. Made by Mark Messenger to the Arlewood his aim was to produce a style which delivers all the bright fruit and cleansing freshness that Margaret River is known for, with the added dimension that a barrel fermented portion of the blend delivers. The palate is bright and clear while the lean body and mouthfeel reveal cleansing acidity. Flavours of grapefruit and lime combine with savoury spice through to the enjoyable finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Gayda Chemin de Moscou Vin de Pays d'Oc
Description: A blend of 50% Syrah, 40 % Grenache and 10% Cinsault, this wine was aged 9 months in oak. Intense, structured and balanced, yet smooth and elegant, it expresses fully its origins. Chemin de Moscou" is named after the "Nom Cadastral" of the vineyards around our winery in the village of Brugairolles. e road leading to these vineyards is called "Chemin de Moscou", the "Road to Moscow". The local villagers believe the name originated from the place outside the village where meetings were held, under the "L'arbre de Moscou" the "Moscou tree". is tree was used by early aviators as a navigation beacon before G.P.S was invented. The tree, an enormous pine, was struck by lightening and burned to the ground around 20 years ago. The wine is in honour of the "Moscou" heritage of our village. "Chemin de Moscou" comes from our old terraced vineyards which have been cultivated since Roman times. The quality of the grapes guaranteed by our old vines gives us a continuity of exceptional product for vinification. Estate bottled at Domaine Gayda, this cuvée was made from selected barrels. Description: This wine derives solely from Vernaccia grapes grown on more than 35 hectares on the Fattoria di Cusona. The estate's modern cellars permit vinification under ideal conditions, the juice is clarified after soft crushing and separation from the grapeskins and then fermented slowly at low temperatures to maintain the original flavors and aromas. The wine is conserved esclusively in stainless steel tanks before being bottled and fined for several months before release. Odfjell Vineyards ARMADOR Carmenere Maipo Valley Chile
Description: Over 20 years ago, the pioneering Norwegian Armador, Dan Odfjell discovered and fell in love with a small corner of the famous Maipo Valley, Chile. Born of rain in Bergen, Norway, he could not resist the attraction of the austral sun in this Virgilian setting. Serendipity would later show that he had found land in Chile's premium red wine producing valley, where vitis vinifera has been cultivated since the 17th century. Here a soothing coastal breeze produces a microclimate conducive to distinct and beautiful wines on the 85 hectares planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. This hand harvested Carmenere has a little Merlot and is part aged in oak to produce an intense red violet coloured wine. On the nose, there are intense aromas of plums and blueberries together with chocolate and vanilla flavors. Later come forth scents of pepper and sweet pepper which is characteristic of Carmenere. On the palate, the wine's attack is round, offering lots of fruit and polished tannins. The long finish has a well-balanced acidity and a slight note of liquorice. (6 x 75 cl)
