Saint Clair is owned by Neal and Judy Ibbotson, two of Marlborough's earliest vineyard pioneers, who planted their first vines in 1978. Grapes were originally supplied to local wine companies. However, a desire to extend the quality achieved in the vineyard through to the finished wine, led to the establishment of Saint Clair Estate Wines. The Saint Clair name originates from the main vineyard property, which was originally settled by the 'Sinclair' family. James Sinclair built one of the first homes in Blenheim and was closely associated with the development of the early town. With the passage of time the name reverted to the original, Saint Clair. The Saint Clair label, designed by Graphic Designer Tony Ibbotson of Sydney, depicts the golden glow of the hidden Marlborough valley with the halo silhouetted above. The Tuatara Bay Pinot Noir is a modern fruity styled wine. (12 x 75 cl)

Croft 1991 Vintage Port
Description: Vintage Ports are made exclusively from the grapes of one harvest. Bottled after two years in casks, it is in the bottle that the long, slow, ageing process transforms the young wine into a magnificent Vintage Port. A Croft Vintage is only declared in years of optimum quality. These demanding standards mean that a Croft Vintage might be declared perhaps only two or three times in a decade. (6 x 75 cl)

Cantine Leonardo SAN ZIO IGT Toscana
Description: The San Zio vineyards have long been noted for the depth and quality of wines they produce, so in 1996 Leonardo decided to vinify the grapes separately. The result is a wine that impresses more with each vintage. Made from 100% Sangiovese fruit, it is full and fleshy on the palate. Cantine Leonardo's innovative IGT wines are proof that this is a co-op with a difference. The ability of Leonardo to produce wines of outstanding quality at different price levels makes them virtually unique among Italian co-operatives. (6 x 75 cl)

Biondi Santi SCHIDIONE IGT Toscana
Description: Ruby red colour, dry, assertive and tannic flavour. It has an intense, ample and persistent aroma and a complex bouquet. Ferruccio Biondi Santi first isolated the Brunello clone of Sangiovese in the late 19th C. and he and his successors created a wine capable of extraordinary ageing. Today, the concept of a Brunello Riserva that needs nigh on a quarter of a century to show its true class may seem an anachronism. We prefer to salute Biondi Santi as a monument to tradition and uncompromising quality. (6 x 75 cl)

On the palate the wine has great balance, being full-bodied but with enough acidity for a fresh, clean finish First produced in 1981, Terre Alte is perhaps Livio Felluga’s most famous wine, and is considered one of Italy’s greatest whites. Domaine Lucien Jacob Savigny-les-Beaune Rouge
Description: The Pinot Noir grapes for the Savigny-lès-Beaune are all hand picked, and the wine is aged for 18 months in year-old oak barrels, which adds to its complexity without dominating the flavour. This wine is characterised by elegant strawberry fruit and an attractive earthiness, very typical of this area. It has good structure and smooth tannins, which help it develop into a soft, full-flavoured burgundy. (12 x 75 cl)
