Established in 1991, and set in 10 hectares of vineyards great care is taken in producing the wines of Quinta da Fonte do Ouro. The estate is divided into three plots, two in Mortagua and one in Nelas, here 90% of the vines are red, and over half are planted with the popular local varietal Touriga Nacional. This wine is a lovely ruby colour with red berry fruit aromas and a hint of oak from the barrel ageing. A robust but soft palate showing good fruit balance and complexity, it is complemented by the very soft, persistent finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Three years on he is making some of the Premiere Cotes de Bordeaux most exciting wines. They are certainly at the cutting edge of the New Wave of Bordeaux wines; New World attention to fruit but still a respect for the best of the Old World traditions and terroir is proving to be an effective formula in both the Lezongars and de Roques ranges. The wines of L'Enclos come from the chateau finest vineyard plot and to date has won a Gold medal at Bruxelles Concours Mondail and a bronze here at Intermational Wine & Spirit Competition. Description: Produced from fruit in Coteaux du Loir, Vieilles Vignes Eparses is produced from vines aged over 50 to 80 years. Using only Chenin Blanc and aged atleast one year minimum in barrel, this pale gold coloured wine is both limpid and brilliant. The nose is rich, harmonious and fine, smelling quince and rhubarb, while it has a lively and fresh attack. Mouth persisting, round, enrobed, complex and rich, presenting aromas of honey and fruits reminding those smelt by nose. A medium dry wine. (6 x 75 cl)
