Casella Estate YELLOW TAIL Cabernet Merlot South Eastern Australia
Description: This Cabernet Merlot is a fresh, easy-drinking young red, offering lifted aromas of blackberries and cassis on the nose with sweet French oak undertones. The Cabernet creates a well balanced tannin framework and the Merlot filling out and softening the mid-palate. Ripe fruit flavours finish with good length demanding another glass. This Italian family have six generations of winemaking experience, while the Casella family winery was founded in 1965. Today it is run by John Casella, an extremely talented and highly respected winemaker who aims to produce top qualitv wines from this region. John Casella was amongst the first to select premium vineyard sites used for the production of premium varieties and the vineyards now extend to 250 hectares. The vineyard is planted with Semilion, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Botrytis Semilion, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Gewurztraminer, Colombard, Marsanne, Verdelho and Durif. Casella have made tremendous advances in viticultural techniques, particularly with canopy training, minimal pruning and controlled drip irrigation. These factors, coupled with restricted yields has enabled Casella to produce some of the top wines from this region.

The estate comprises of 54 crus that are identified by the composition of their soil, their orientation, the variety growing in them and their micro-climate. Redbank THE FUGITIVE Cabernet Sauvignon King Valley Victoria Australia
Description: Redbank’s badge, the Anvil, is a symbol of times gone by when the early settlers handcrafted their farming implements with the heat of the blazing forge and the strength of the anvil. This strength was apparent in the hard working migrants who established a thriving farming community in the rugged High Country of North East Victoria. Today a small, select 'family' of growers, some direct descendents of the original pioneers, produce premium fruit for the wines of Redbank. Vineyards that are lashed by blizzardly cold winter winds and buried in snow for part of the year emerge at harvest with grapes of the highest quality that enable the Redbank winemakers to produce superb cool climate wines.
