Robert Skalli 'F' RANGE Chardonnay Vin de Pays D'Oc
Description: F., the most prestigious brand of Les Vins Skalli, was created in 1998 with the 1996 vintage. F. wines, christened in homage to Francis Skalli, father of Robert. Conceived to convey the timeless expression of great wines, F. is distributed in strictly limited quantities. F. wines epitomize the winemaking know-how of Les Vins Skalli venerable vines, patient vinification followed by eighteen months of aging in French oak barrels, under the expert advice of Michel Rolland, who assists Les Vins Skalli with winemaking. The grapes are harvested at night. This is followed by an 8-hour skin maceration at a cold temperature before pneumatic pressing. Static settling of the must takes place at a cold temperature; the clear part is then transferred into barrels to undergo the alcoholic fermentation. This stage lasts for approximately 10 days. The barrels are then regularly stirred every 8 days for 6 months. Putting the lees back into suspension allows us to enrich the wines, fix the freshness of the aromas and provides mild aromatic notes . In 1999, we carried out a malolactic fermentation on 54% of the total volume to strengthen the aromatic complexity and conserve all of the vivacity of the final blend. This wine shows a straw-yellow colour, slightly golden. The powerful nose expresses honey and candied fruit aromas . On the palate it is ample and unctuous with aromas of yellow peach flesh combined with refined notes of wood and vanilla, all enhanced by a richer sensation of honey. The finish is rich, mild and the persistence of the vanilla and cream flavours strengthen this sensation. (6 x 75 cl)

Pelissero VANOTU Barbaresco DOCG
Description: Azienda Agricola Pelissero is a family-run vine-growing estate located in the district of Treiso, in the heart of Barbaresco. Many gradual changes have been performed by the successive generations of the Pelisseros, who transformed the grape-selling activity started by Giovanni Pelissero into winemaking of all the estate-grown grapes. Winemaking takes place in a cellar surrounded by vineyards situated in a zone called Augenta. The first bottles of wine dated back to 1960 and were produced by Luigi Pelissero, whose work was followed by his son, Oenologist Giorgio who, after finishing his studies, decided to work full time at the winery. The Pelissero family takes care of all the activities from pruning the vines to marketing the wine. The estate consists of twenty hectares of vineyards which yield a total of 80,000 to 100,000 bottles of wine. Thanks to Giorgio Pelissero's brilliance in the cellar and father Luigi’s dedication in the vineyard, this wine has splendid concentration and purity of flavour. The full garnet red colour is closed but powerful with a ripe spicy nose, very supple palate with big round tannins leading to a long finish with vanilla oak tones. Available in Magnum bottles. (6 x 1.5 Litres)
