Chardonnay grown in the Barossa gives wines with delicious peach fruit chardonnay characters and wonderful depth of flavour. The Peter Lehmann white wine philosophy is very much about seeking the primary fruit characters. Oak fermentation and maturation is used very sparingly; just enough to give a touch of integrated spiciness and complex interest to the grape. Vibrant green/gold colour with a bouquet showing hints of freshly cut white peach and light smoky wood complexity. The Palate is long, with deliciously clean taut peach fruit, good structural acidity and a faint smoky undertone. It has completed malolactic fermentation which has given the palate creaminess and added complexity.

Description: Located in Erbusco, in the province of Lombardy, Ca'del Bosco is widely recognized as one of Italy's greatest wine estates. In 1968, Ca'del Bosco was founded on two hundred and thirty acres, and planted with chardonnay, pinot blanc and pinot noir, the traditional varietals of Franciacorta. After years of significant investment, technological improvements and the usual experience brought about by trial and error, Ca'del Bosco has won a reputation as one of the world's most prominent producers of not only fine sparkling wines, but also still wines. In 1998, Gambero Rosso, the leading authority on Italian wines, began referring to the estate as one of the few Stars in Italy, having won so many coveted Three Glasses awards. In 2002, the winery was named Winery of the Year by the same publication. The Cuvee Annamaria Clementi represents finesse, elegance fruit and complexity. The perlage is very delicate, the mousse creamy. The rich, stylish nose releases crisp notes of juicy apples and pears, with hints of spice. On the palate, you will appreciate the weight, the complex harmony, the roundness, the long finish and the clean definition of fruit. (6 x 75 cl)
