Chateau Loudenne PAVILLON DE LOUDENNE Medoc
Description: Chateau Loudenne, situated on the banks of the Gironde estuary, is one of the most delightful sites in the Medoc, the charm of which did not escape the appreciative eye of its owners, Marie-Claude and Jean-Paul Lafragette. Chateau Loudenne stretches over a superb estate of 132 hectares, with 48 hectares of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and 12 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Since the Lafragette family bought Loudenne in March 2000, work on the vines has been conducted with the specific aim of enhancing the individual character of Loudenne's terroir and therefore its wines. Left bank Bordeaux blend is usually more Cabernet dominated, however in the cooler more clayey parts of Bordeaux Merlot is often the more present of the two and can give outstanding results. This is a blend that has prodcued an alluring fruit-driven wine. (12 x 75 cl)
