Chateau Meyney Cru Bourgeois Superieur St-Estephe
Description: Château Meyney is located in St.Estèphe and is owned by Dmes. Cordier. The 49 ha property produces on average 30,000 cases per year. Located in the east of the St.Estèphe appellation, next to Château Montrose, Meyney has a similar climate to that enjoyed by the Médoc: maritime, with the Gironde estuary and the Bay of Biscay combining to act as a climate regulator and the coastal pine forests sheltering the vines from the westerly and north-westerly winds. Meyney's vineyards lie on clay-gravel soils. Vinification includes 15 months' wood ageing, 30% new oak. (12 x 75 cl)

The oak ageing is perfectly judged too. (6 x 75 cl)

Sonoma-Cutrer LES PIERRES Chardonnay Sonoma Valley California
Description: The colour is fine yellow gold, with perfect clarity, and aromas of spice, floral lemon-lime join the familiar Les Pierre flinty mineral backbone. As you enjoy drinking the wine you'll recognize the signature green apple and lemon of this vineyard, evolving to dried lemon peel and fresh lime zest. The floral notes recall Acacia flowers, common in the springtime Burgundy countryside. The middle palate is broader in this vintage, with a touch of spun honey. Our careful approach to oak aging and fermentation adds just the right touch of fresh baked bread crust. The structure is mineral, firm, balanced, elegant and focused. A wonderfully long finish is classic Les Pierres, tight, lemon-mineral, extending with great acidity. More austere than our other Chardonnays, but one for the ages. (6 x 75 cl)

Chateau Moulin Saint Georges St-Emilion
Description: Chateau Moulin St Georges has been referred to as a junior version of Chateau Ausone as it is owned by the same proprietors, the Vauthier family. Its 17.3 acres of vineyards are located between those of Ausone and La Gaffelière and are well-sited on a south-west facing slope, known as the Pavie slope. The vineyards are planted with Merlot , Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon . The vines are expertly cultivated by Vauthier who firmly believes that a wine's quality is first and foremost a function of the vines and the fruit they bear. Consequently, yields are kept deliberately low and the grapes exclusively hand-harvested. Winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks and the wine is then matured in 100% new oak barriques for 15-20 months. The wines are bottled unfiltered. (12 x 75 cl)
