G. Gregoletto PROSECCO DI CONEGLIANO Tranquillo DOC
Description: Pale brilliant straw yellow. Fine bouquet yet intense, dry, fruity, lively backbone, full of character. Giovanni Gregoletto and his family run this small, artisanal family winery with great passion and imagination. The name Ombra is the Venetian dialect word for a glass of wine. It refers to the shadow of St. Mark’s basilica in which such refreshment may typically be enjoyed. A careful selection of grapes from the best vineyards in the Conegliano area gives Gregoletto’s Prosecco, a surprising degree of personality. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Alain Cailbourdin LES CRIS Pouilly Fume
Description: In this exceptional winegrowing region, just two hours south of Paris, Carmen and Alain have patiently put together their estate over the last fifteen years. Building up a superb collection of plots on some of the finest slopes of Pouilly-sur-Loire their approach respects the soil and the environment of these vineyards that face the Loire. Picked on a limestone, south-west-facing hillside, this racy vintage is the most typical of the range. The 'Cris' is the local term to describe 'pebbly limestone sown with vines'. The aromatic range, full of elegance, first releases some fruity then mineral tones. After 1 or 2 years, these tastes become more refined, taking on more and more the imprint of the local earth. The impression in the mouth is powerful, woody, and outstandingly mellow. There is excellent balance, thanks to a perfect maturity of the grapes. (12 x 75 cl)

Sella & Mosca MARCHESE DI VILLAMARINA Cabernet Sauvignon Sardegna DOC
Description: This Cabernet Sauvignon from the Tenuta I Piani, is a contemporary legend despite limited production and the recent launch. Aged for 18 months in barrique, this full ruby wine has a deep, herby bouquet and rich, velvety, warm flavour. Outstanding. The impressive structure of Sella & Mosca, with over 500 hectares of vineyards in the Alghero area of north-west Sardinia, makes them one of Europe's largest wineries to produce exclusively form their own grapes. Investments in state of the art technology and vineyard management gives Sella & Mosca's wines incredible consistency. Since the company's foundation in 1899 by the eponymous Piemontese partners, it has set the winegrowing standard for Sardinia. The white wines are very modern in style, very clean, with an extraordinary freshness given the hot Mediterranean climate. The red production is mostly in a more traditional vein, with ripe Mediterranean spicy flavours to the fore (6 x 75 cl)

Althaus DOMAINE A Cabernet Sauvignon Tasmania
Description: Peter and Ruth Althaus' 20ha property in the Coal River Valley in Southern Tasmania is truly remarkable in that the Cabernet, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc that it produces is not just high quality but is truly of world class. Here they are producing not only the 'Stoney Vineyard' but the 'Domaine A' range of wines. Peter Althaus was formerly a business man with IBM, working in Geneva. Having developed a palate for fine European wine and a curiosity for how he could set about making it, the Althaus' set about finding a vineyard site with potential to make outstanding wines. Virtually all of the European sites had already been identified so the search was extended to the Southern hemisphere. Peter long favoured the Central Otago region of New Zealand but eventually settled on the tiny 1 hectare property that today forms Domaine A. Since 1989, when they took over the Domaine, planting has increased to 20 hectares and includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot and Sauvignon Blanc. Vines are densely planted and the sloping North/North East aspect coupled with a temperate maritime climate ensures that the grapes have a long, cool growing season (12 x 75 cl)
