Chenin Blanc is the quintessential South African grape varietal, and this wooded, dry wine has a complex nose combined with ripe melon fruit, caramel and oaky vanilla aromas. It has a rich palate with a creamy butterscotch character and oak flavours, adding a roasted aftertaste. A fresh and lingering wine experience. The grapes were selected from the Paarl and Malmesbury area and harvested at 24 °C. 30% of the blend were fermented and aged in French oak for 3 months and 70% underwent normal tank fermentation. Golden Kaan Sauvignon Blanc Western Cape RSA
Description: A bright, fresh South African Sauvignon Blanc loaded with tropical fruit, crisp melon, peach and mineral notes. The freshness is further complimented by well-balanced and complex flavours on the palate. The grapes used in this wine were selected from cooler areas in the Western Cape and then crushed. After 4 – 8 hours skin contact the juice was fermented at 12 °C and following two weeks of lees contact it was then racked, fined, cold stabilised and bottled. (12 x 75 cl)

Golden Kaan Shiraz Western Cape RSA
Description: This wine’s bouquet suggests ripe berries with green pepper and spicy flavours. There is excellent follow through onto the palate where the peppery flavours dominate, a well-integrated wine showing ripe tannins. The harvest, from the warmer areas around Paarl, was undertaken when the grapes were fully ripe and once in the winery they were fermented dry on the skins. Finally, after malolactic fermentation, the wine was matured on American oak. (12 x 75 cl)
