Domaine Belland Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne
Description: Bright in colour, a superb example of Corton Charlemagne. 1996 marked a milestone in the history of the Belland family holdings as Adrien Belland officially retired and the domaine continues today under the leadership of Jean-Claude Belland. Adreien and Jean-Claude have been working together for many years and have developed their wines towards a richer, less tannic style over the last few years by not filtering most of the wines. Their holdings range from Santenay to Chambertin and the wines are all of exceptional quality. (6 x 75 cl)

Chateau de Ferrand Grand Cru St-Emilion
Description: Owned by Baron Bich this wine is dominated by lush Merlot fruit with ripe tannins, elegant character and very deep structure. The vineyards cover 30 hectares, with 30-years-old vines composed of the following: 75% Merlot, for fullness, roundness and persistence; 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon for fruitiness, structure and complexity. These growing conditions and grape varieties give Chateau de Ferrand an exceptional capacity to produce Saint-Emilion Grand Crus that express all the qualities of this prestigious terroir. Great care from the vineyard to the winery require exacting standards including natural grass and plowing between the rows to provide the best growing conditions. The yield, health and ripeness of the grapes are strictly controlled with hand pruning and leaf removal that ensure the air circulation and sun penetration needed for an optimal harvest in accordance with the standards of the appellation. (6 x 75 cl)

Andresen White Port Douro
Description: A White Port aged in the cask for 5 to 10 years. In the cask, it looses sweetness and becomes more complex and very interesting, much like a old tawny. Joao Henrique Andresen was born on the 29th January 1826 on the island of Fohr in the North Sea. At the age of 14, like many other Danes, he travelled to Porto, his first destination and soon to be his last. After falling in love with the charm of the place, he decided to adopt the portugese nationality, where he stayed and began a new life. In 1845 the young entrepreneur began the painstaiking task of founding the "Maison de Porto" which still carries his name. After his death he left behind the memory of an incredibly honest, passionate man. (6 x 75 cl)

Luneau-Papin Chardonnay Melon Vin de Pays Jardin de la France
Description: This wine is really something different. It is made from the 'Melon de Bourgogne' grape, which is hand picked, and only 40,000 bottles are produced by this master winemaker. Light and fruity, this is a very well-finished wine. Pierre et Monique Luneau-Papin head this 30-hectare estate in Le Landreau, in the heart of Muscadet country, where small hamlets dot a landscape of vineyards on low hills. Their estate, also known as Domaine Pierre de la Grange, has been in existence since the early 18th century when it was already planted with Melon de Bourgogne, the Muscadet varietal. Pierre and Monique are the eighth generation of winemakers in the family. Pierre is a genial, low-key, distracted professor type. He's the winemaker and vineyard work supervisor. His wife Monique, lively, energetic and equally genial, is the business manager. (12 x 75 cl)
