Domaine Bize is now run by Patrick Bize and at 24 hectares it is one of the largest domaines in the Cote de Beaune but quality here is never compromised by sheer size. Patrick is a master of characterful pinot noir and he produces wines which show fabulous terroir influence, with every one of his many individual vineyards showing induviduality. These are complex wines which age very well indeed (12 x 75 cl)

Description: Now in his early thirties, Vincent Dureuil has firmly established himself as one of the top three growers in Rully, where he is based. He is that rare thing, a winemaker equally at home with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. His whites are mineral and expressive without being lean, whilst his reds are juicy. Following his father's retirement at the end of 2002 Vincent has been able to double the size of his holdings to around 13 hectares. The result is whites whilst crisp and mineral, show a seductive amount of flesh, whilst his Pinots have a ripe, chewy quality, with mouth-watering acid balance, which promises exciting development with age. Description: Bouley's Beaune 1er Cru les Reversees come from a vineyard next to Les Teurons, in the heart of the band of Beaune Premiere Crus. It is a generously juicy and grapey wine, with plum and red currant flavours. Jean-Marc Bouley's domaine, which has been in his family for three generations, now consists of 12 hectares in Volnay, Pommard and Beaune. The winery is located underneath his house on a steep narrow street in the village of Volnay. The house was originally built by a retired railroad engineer, and the cellars resemble train tunnels. Jean-Marc took over the domaine in 1985 and significantly expanded the holdings, buying choice parcels in Volnay and Pommard. He immediately attained international acclaim for his exciting, dramatic Pinot Noirs. Today, he makes wines from 11 different appellations.
