The Rothbury Estate, a working winery since 1968, is situated within Australia's oldest wine-growing region, the famous Hunter Valley. It has long been known for its diversity of wines and for recognising the potential for winemaking in the Hunter, as well as the surrounding areas of Mudgee, Cowra and Orange. 100% Chardonnay fruit was sourced from a range of vineyard sites in South Eastern Australia, the grapes were machine harvested at night to ensure optimum freshness of fruit characters and condition. Once in the winery the fruit was crushed and following this a portion of the wine was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and American oak. Additionally, a small amount of the final blend underwent malo-lactic fermentation to add a greater complexity with a creamy mouthfeel and an enhanced the soft fruity finish. The Rothbury Estate Blue Label Chardonnay is mid straw colour with vibrant youthful notes in the glass. Classic Chardonnay aromas of peach, melon with a hint of citrus and a subtle oak influence are present on the nose. The palate shows rich fruit flavours with supporting oak and a refreshing crisp finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Chateau Taffard de Blaignan Cru Bourgeois Medoc
Description: The deep ruby red colour of this wine is offset by tinges of brighter cherry red. The nose is fruit-driven with red fruit and berries accompanied by mineral notes , smokiness and light touches of vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate, the wine is extremely flavoursome with good, firm tannins. On aeration, mineral notes and a hint of smokiness come through, together with the flavours of very ripe grapes. Errazuriz THE BLEND Aconcagua Valley Chile
Description: This fruit-driven new blend, which bursts with ripe berries and black cherries flavours backed up by well-integrated French and American oak. Well-structured and perfectly balanced wine, full on the palate with lingering but supple tannins that finishes nicely with a touch of spices. Each of the four varieties used in this blend i.e. Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Sangiovese and Carmenère were carefully hand picked at their peak between early April and mid-May. All varieties were vinified separately with controlled temperatures and received daily pump-overs for a total maceration time of 20-30 days. The resulting wines were aged separately, and approximately two-thirds of the final blend was oak-aged, mostly in French oak barrels. The different fine grape varieties used in crafting The Blend wine were sourced from varied parcels of our Don Maximiano Estate located in the Aconcagua Valley, where hot summer days are cooled by afternoon breezes. The core components of The Blend wine are Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. These two varieties come from vineyards planted on a 5º slope with gravely, sandy clay soils which drain very well. Both vineyards feature drip irrigation, high-density planting and vertical trellis systems. Sangiovese and Carmenère complement the blend. Sangiovese vines were planted in 1994 with mostly R24 clone, also called Sangiovese Piccolo, which features small berries and intense berry fruit characters. The Carmenère portion of the wine comes from a different parcel of the Estate, also located in the Aconcagua Valley. Canopy management is particularly important with this late-ripening variety, since sun exposure on the berries is critical for achieving the transition from strongly vegetal aromas to the rich, ripe, complex fruit that characterizes the best Carmenère. Description: Founded in 1972, Joseph Phelps Vineyards is an independent, estate-based winery located outside of St. Helena. Perched on a knoll in bucolic Spring Valley, the graceful redwood winery overlooks vineyard-studded hills, the town of St. Helena and the Mayacamas Mountains to the west. Long known for his innovative spirit and passion for quality, Joe Phelps pioneered a number of 'firsts' in the early years of the winery. The 1974 Insignia — released in the spring of 1978 — was the first Bordeaux-style blend produced in California under a proprietary label. The release of the 1974 Syrah in 1977 sparked industry-wide interest in a remarkable French varietal whose plantings in California had disappeared and been virtually forgotten for over half a century. And in 1990, after years of research, a whole new family of Rhone-style wines was introduced which today includes Syrah, Viognier and a Chateauneuf-du-Pape style blend called Le Mistral. A fine wiune made with fruit sourced from Phelps own vineyards. A beautiful dark colour leading to a full, soft, fruit-driven nose with a subtle mocha-like hint followed by a dash of all-spice and floral essence. Veuve Fourney Blanc de Blancs Non Vintage Champagne
Description: Madame Fourny and her two sons Emmanuel and Charles-Henry own 5.5 hectares of 1er Cru Vineyards in the Cote des Blancs. They practice a mixture of organic and biodynamic viticulture and prune very short to restrict yields. The average age of their vines is 30 years, and the chalk vineyards are planted to 100% Chardonnay. Only the first pressing is used, all tailles are discarded.
