The Merlot is harvested from a variety of Napa Valley vineyards, including the Franciscan vineyard in the heart of the Oakville District. When tannin maturity and flavor development have reached their optimum stage the grapes are harvested. This fanaticism for ripeness is evident in the Franciscan Merlot, a wine that is plush, elegant and expresses remarkable concentrated fruit flavors with our hallmark supple tannins. Ruby red in colour with brilliant clarity and medium depth, this Merlot has deep, stone fruit aromas. Rich, lush and velvety the Merlot is showing flavours of fresh fruit, cherries, plums and blackberries that merge with light, toasty oak. Well balanced and structured, with a long finish this is a superb merlot. (12 x 75 cl)

Casa Tamaya Viognier Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc Limari Valley Chile
Description: Based in the Limari Valley, Casa Tamaya is located in Cerrillos de Tamaya in Chile's IV Region, and has recently been recognized for its extraordinary potential for producing fine wines, due to its ideal climate and soils. Vina Casa Tamaya is set in 210 hectares of which 108 of are planted to vines. The vineyards were established in 1997 and its primary white grape varieties are Chardonnay, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc and the red grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah and Sangiovese. Pale yellow in colour, with nuances of green, this wine explodes with aromas of fresh fruit. Beautifully integrated notes of recently picked mango and peach mix harmoniously with subtle hints of lime, guava and passion fruits. The palate is just as expressive, with a refreshing acidity and smooth mineral touches that round off a supremely unique wine.

McWilliams STENTIFORD'S RESERVE Old Vines Shiraz Coonawarra South Australia
Description: Colour: Rich damson. Bouquet: Complex and intense with spice, plum and mulberry fruit characters, rich dusty cedar and cinnamon oak aromas. Dark chocolate and marzipan, derived from barrel maturation and bottle-age, are also evident. Palate: Rich and full-bodied with layers of ripe plum, spice and blackcurrant fruit flavours over spicy cinnamon, cedar oak and smooth dark chocolate. The wine finishes long and dry, with fine-grained dusty tannins. Cellaring: This wine is enjoyable now, but will benefit from five to ten years careful cellaring. Decant before serving. Winemaker Notes: After crushing, the must was transferred to headed-down fermentation tanks for the initiation of fermentation. To assist extraction of colour and flavour, the juice was pumped over three times daily for seven days. The juice was drained from the tank and the skins pressed, prior to transfer to 100 per cent new French hogsheads to complete primary and malolactic fermentation. Following fermentation, the wine was racked and then transferred to new oak hogsheads , where it was matured for 26 months. The Fruit: This super-premium Shiraz is sourced entirely from the original, 100-year-old vines on the acclaimed Laira Vineyard, and is named after Captain Stentiford, the English sea captain who established the vineyard in 1893. The grapes were harvested at the end of April . (6 x 75 cl)
