Domaine Laporte LA TERRE DES ANGES Sancerre
Description: Founded in 1850 in the heart of the prestigious Sancerre appellation, Domaine Laporte is renowned for its quality. Located in the Loire Valley 200 km south of Paris, the Domaine Laporte Sancerre vineyards cover approximately 2,300 ha . Domaine Laporte sits on the edge of a valley known as La Cassure de Sancerre. This unique geological formation is divided into two distinct soil types: limestone hills on one side of the valley, flint hills on the opposite side. Grapes grown on each of these different soils are vinified according to the kind of soil. This careful respect for soil typicity gives each wine an individual expression and personality. La Terre des Anges is a 10 hectare slope, unique in the region of Sancerre. Soaking up the heat in the daytime, the flint rocks of the vineyard slowly cool in the night. This Sauvignon Blanc wine is aged in the barrel 2-3 years depending on the vintage and has produced a perfect balance of roundness and freshness in this complex wine. A classic Sauvignon (12 x 75 cl)

Dominique Roger DOMAINE DU CARROU Rose Sancerre
Description: Domaine du Carrou is the personal estate of Dominique Roger. He represents the younger generation of vignerons keen to combine tradition with modern techniques. The vineyards have a very shallow top soil under which one finds a hard chalky soil, which imparts that subtle floral scent to his wines. Pinot Noir is particularly suited to cooler climates, and is ideal in the marginal climate of Sancerre. Only a small part of the estate is given over to Pinot Noir, and it occupies some of the best elevations and exposure. Grapes are hand harvested in small parcels at various stages of ripeness (6 x 75 cl)

Quinta do Carmo RESERVA da QUINTA Alentejano Portugal
Description: Owner of Chateau Lafite Rothschild for five generations, the Rothschild family has been based in this Bordeaux vineyard since 1868. High values and the respect of traditional methods make them passionate about harmony and excellence. Their wines bear witness to that passion year after year and their skills have patiently enriched the wines through the generations, with world-renowned success. Over the years, Domain Baron de Rothschild has expanded its offerings through the acquisition of several french Chateau's as well as ventures in Argentina. However, in 1992, Julio Bastos, owner of Quinta do Carmo called on Domaines Barons de Rothschild in order to renovate the property. The primary goal was to combine the traditional Alentejo winemaking techniques with the skill of the DBR teams and also unite the expression of traditional portuguese grape varieties with other new and noble varieties thus enhancing complexity and elegance. The plan has led to new plantations and the renovation of the vineyards, including systematic tying up of the vines and a limitation of yields. Major investments were also made in the Herdade das Carvalhas chais, including a new cellar, the purchase of stainless steel vats with temperature monitoring and pneumatic presses. Now integrated into Domaines Barons de Rothschild , Quinta do Carmo features a 150 hectare vineyard that is gradually reaching maturity. This renewal has done much to enhance the wines, and the first vintages under the new management reveals clearly the excellent combination of the 'Terroir' and the 'savoir faire!' This wine is a blend of mainly Tempranillo, or Aragonez as it is known locally, it makes up 40% (6 x 75 cl)
