The domaine owns 8 hectares of vineyards in the villages of Morey, Gevrey and Chambolle with all the wines now bottled at the estate availability is quite limited. Quinta do Infantado 2000 Vintage Port
Description: ''We are traditional,'' explains Joao Roseira. ''We ferment our own grapes from very good vineyards in 'lagars' so get better extraction. As a result, we have higher natural alcohols, which gives us a finer, more elegant style of Port, as we don't need to add so much brandy.'' The best wine is undoubtedly the Vintage, Its swirling flavours of deep, dark plums and chocolate give way to a supple, warming rather than searing finish. The finesse on the finish is a key element of the Infantado wines, and is attributable to the fact that the wine brandy component in their blend is only 15%, whereas the average for Port is about 20% (6 x 75 cl)

Castello di Ama LA CASUCCIA Chianti Classico DOCG
Description: Voted Winery of the Year 2005 by the Gambero Rosso, Ama’s history goes back to 1972 when four Roman families united to purchase the Ama estate with the goal of restoring it to the splendour of its 18th century heyday. New cellars were built, new plantings began with experimentation into non-indigenous varietals, and new methods of viticulture were pursued while in 1982. Marco Pallanti was introduced as winemaker. La Casuccia vineyard, which covers an area of 12.58 hectares , was planted between 1964 and 1975. The terrain is relatively uniform throughout the zone with soils consisting primarily of clayey-calcareous matter. A blend of Merlot and Sangiovese this red was aged 13 months in barrels of Allier oak, 80% of them new. (6 x 75 cl)
